As a teacher, I’ve also had a class be this engaged and this well-behaved before. The principal was watching, and I bribed them beforehand with all this candy. That being said, this was a great lesson, and a great example of how to keep kids actually engaged!

I teach in this school district and I can tell you that the kids are not this well behaved, but I can say they do know how to act when an administrator comes in to view my class. The school where I teach is so bad you have to act crazy with the kids to get them to behave. I can say that the thing that has helped me the most is I set routine and procedure in my classroom.

@MrGodshate3 жыл бұрын
This is a lot of teacher talk and clearly a lack of student voice. The responding in unison speaks to training rather than teaching toward autonomy.
@melissam.66523 жыл бұрын
Students need to learn the academic language so that they can converse about the topics knowledgeably. If you listened to their discussions, you would’ve heard how they are taking what they learned in the lesson and framing their own thinking around that. Their responding in unison is helping cement those tricky academic vocabulary words and academic concepts in their brains so they can easily utilize them independently.
