In alpacas white hair (H) is dominant over brown hair (h) and long hair (L) is dominant over short hair (l). If a pure bred alpaca with long white hair (HHLL) was crossed with an alpaca with short brown hair (hhll) what would be the phenotype and genotype ratios in the first generation? Please use the Punnett square below to show your working. f1 Generation how would this work?

I think it means that the 1st alleles are recessive and the 2nd alleles is dominant E.g. rrWW

1st characteristic is recessive 2nd characteristic is dominant: which means yyRr or yyRR or yyrR, giving you the recessive characteristic green, and the dominant characteristic round. He probably was supposed to say 1st and second instead of 1 and 2.
