There is no tricks to getting specific gear or abilities, the reason why it's easy for me to get all the abilities for a new character is because I have them all they do ability multiverse pretty often now so do them when you see them up to have a better chance at getting it. Eventually you'll get everyone's abilities and the Staff.

+ComicCinema I already have all the Abilities unlocked so when they do a Multiverse for an Ability I'll get the new characters Ability and I also got them from boxes. Same happens with Shaders since I have them all, it'll be a Shader for the new character.

+ComicCinema If I'm not playing the game I have the AI playing the game so if I'm not sleeping or busy with something basically the game is always playing.
