The crazy thing is that he went thru all of that and still missed the setup that made CC actually broken. Cc had a corner guaranteed unblockable reset with lvl 2 trait that u could loop over and over until the opponent died, and there was quite literally nothing they could do about it unless they had a clash. Even if they push blocked, the lvl 2 trait would make the animation of it linger for so long theyd get frozen b4 they could move anyway. Im pretty sure they never even patched it out too.

Captain Cold's greatest strength in the comics stems from the fact that everyone underestimates him. And it's kinda the case in this game as well. Everyone underestimated him until Sonic picked him up and whooped ass.

Although I ultimately really liked how Captain Cold turned out in this game, I'm a bit bummed that his trait wasn't him calling in the Rogues a la Leonardo's trait or Captain Ginyu in DBFZ. Regardless of that, I really hope he comes back in a potential Injustice 3; he's such an underrated character.

Everytime I saw Sonicfox playing this character he seemed downright OP. Most of the time it just seemed like the pros were just really good with their characters and reads so the balance wasn't apparent, but with Captain Cold it just looked downright impossible to deal with him, especially with those ice fields which auto freeze you. As soon as you saw that trait get to level 2 it was basically over, all Sonixfox had to do was get a few combos early on, knock you down or stop you from hurting him and charge that trait. Maybe it was just because the match ups with characters like Catwoman and Cheetah were really favorable, I never saw him used against Batman or other characters.

He’s not a zoner; he’s a setup character. He only has a few projectiles, amplified wall, cold blast(bf1) maybe the icicle move.... that’s about it The most complex Zoner imo, would be Dr. Fate, because of the Ankh setups and if stacked, the overhead move would appear, and with the red trait ankhs..(ill lab Dr. Fate and be back here)

He's definitely both. A zoner is anyone who controls space. I'm not calling him a Keep-away character, but he was definitely a zoner in the universal sense.

Captain Cold and Harley Quinn were my mains in injustice 2. You forgot to mention the enhanced deathsicle which created a block of ice that eats projectiles and can't be jumped over so it was good to use as a combo ender so you could use the EX close deathsicle right in front of you that you can charge your trait without worrying about being punished by anything

I remember getting Injustice 2 excited to play Captain Cold but he frustrated the fuck out of me, and it took me months to pick him up. I decided I loved him as a character too much to let him gather dust, so I took a week to learn him and he quickly became my main. I'm not good enough to play in tournaments or anything, but all of my friends made it a rule that I couldn't play Captain Cold unless they wanted to get sweaty. Edit: I'll also say, I really hope he comes back if they make a third. He probably won't, but still, I can hope. And my most wanted character is Riddler, despite how unrealistic that is, but now that The Batman is on the way I could actually see him being considered.

@Jordano Berrios I know this is like months ago, but Zoners are characters who use a plethora of projectiles, and long range moves to keep characters at a distance. Setup characters are people who use gadgets to set the floor up, basically using them as combo extenders, starters, or enders. Captain Cold is an example of both.

You forgot that his Icicle rain could meter burn (although not really used) and the Ice block could stand in front of cold and protect him or you could place behind the oppenent and keep them at a close distance which you could also use as a temporary wall to do corner combos

Ill save you the time. Inside the mind of sheeva always use jump/ teleport as most players dont know how to avoid it. Robocop shamelessy spam projectiles, fujin slide into an opponent, jump around the screen like a lunatic and trick opponents into thinking ur string has ended and atttack them again

Thid icicle high-low setups really remind me the same setups in "Jojo Heritage for the future". Hol Horse can make this setups with falling glass, and Petshop with icicles (I even think that NRS just copypaste Captain Cold setups from Pet Shop )

This is injustice 2! Every projectiles recovered quickly. Combo was an afterthought in this game.
