I wonderif it just wasn't Jupiter's day. He messed up almost every conversion, never anti-air Manta and getting hit every time by the teleport. I hate to see my girl looking helpless like this. Jupiter just seems so conditioned to go for chip damage that he seems to forget Starfire can do 400 combos easily.

Is that all of Starfire tools? It felt like Jupiter barely used her strings (of course her moveset is filled with highs, but there has to be something she could use besides trait). Netherrealm didn't do justice with her at all. She seemed to have her hands tied the whole match up.

No NRS did her justice, she's top mid tier, Jupiter didn't do her justice, manta is my favorite character but this should not have been so one sided

Samy_Jonas black manta has so many tools to get over her zoning and get her stuck in the corner. From there, Starfire can't do much and anytime Jupiter tried to attack with her lame high strings, Jackal interrupted with a down 1 or uppercut.

Bro just reading the comments I can tell 80% of you are new to the FGC scenery Jupiter was very dominant in in justice one Look at his profile level compared to other peoples level or like between 60 and 80.......for a level 45 he did not do too bad.................. If Jupiter decides to take this game serious in about a couple of months half of you talking about him would be on his jock If he starts winning tournaments and going to top eight

Hey pndkm, few questions to ask from a not very experienced player. 1: if your opponent does a throw while your negative and it comes up with throw punish, does that mean you cannot tech it. Also, can you tech throws after somethings like Supergirl's frost breath. 2: I don't get why this happens, but after doing a down one with swamp thing and cancelling into his green thumb grab, it doesn't come out. This sort of thing has happened with a variety of characters, like 1,1,3 to command grab with Bane. Thanks to anyone who can answer, means a lot.

Jack-o-Lantern you can tech any throw that is not a throw punish. As for you other question, do you mean it does not come out at all? Or it misses after the down 1 connects? If it never comes out, you are simply not inputting it correctly or are doing it after a combo that is not special cancellable. If it’s just not connecting after it comes out, it’s because they must block the down one for the green thumb to connect. This is called a tick throw

PHD Peppers ops sorry there, yeah meant it comes out but doesn't connect. So for tick throws to connect they must be blocking, in mid air, or just done in the neutral state on its own. Thanks for explaining. Do you happen to know why banes tick throw doesn't work after 1,1,3 if they are blocking?

Jack-o-Lantern 113 doesn't tick, sometimes the distance can whiff tick throws

Jack-o-Lantern tick throws work in the neutral. It’s best to hit the lab to figure out which strings/normals lead into tick throws for characters with command grabs to add them to your mixups/pressure

This wasn't a stomp, it was a 6 to 10 that's kinda close, and it seems like a bad Match up and he was adapting so yeah.

I understand it’s a mid, but Black Manta’s supermove can cross up in the corner, and will catch anyone back blocking it. In the corner, knock your opponent down with F213, and make sure you’ve walked as close to them as you can. Just execute the super move and the second hit will hit on the other side. Delayed wakeup beats this, of course.

Mason Cowan Techincally it was, but what was patched was where you could do it to a standing opponent. Now, it’s harder, but you now have to time it with your opponent’s wakeup, making the first hit whiff and the second hit strike them.

Its turning a poke or counter into a combo. Example if someone is knocked out of the air by a poke and they are comboed before they hit the ground.

Full screen zone her out. That lasso is a pain, but you either need to rush her down or zone her out. She is the proud owner of mid range most of the tims

Starfire é a DLC mais fraca, personagem limitada com golpes lentos e a maioria dos golpes dela são puníveis. DLC mais ridículo do jogo, nem Raiden é tão limitado quanto ela. Pra ganhar de Starfire basta pressionar, Netherrealm deveria dar um buff nela, ela chega a ser ridícula.
