Ink Swatch Journal on Traveler's Notebook Lightweight Paper (Tomoe River)

After seeing my friend's ink swatch journal in the Traveler's Notebook Lightweight Paper insert, I knew I had to make my own. Prior to seeing her journal, I did not realise this paper was 52gsm Tomoe River paper. It has the perfect amount of crinkle to it and, most importantly, is fountain pen friendly. In this ink swatch video, I will swatch my current collection of fountain pen inks which I have accumulated over the past 6 or so months since I have picked up this new hobby. Yes, I have gone down this deep rabbit hole, and there is still so much more to discover! I hope you enjoy the video and seeing my small collection. I'm keen to see how my collection will grow over time - whether I'll just be buying more greens (haha!) or expanding my colour horizons.

Eucalyptus regnan is my fav green also 💚 and I love the other colours too .really nice tos ee someone swatch in there's travelers notebook inserts .it surprises me that others either don't know it's trp or that they don't use it .I moved my swatchs into my tn just last week .are you hanging for the olive to be released ? Ohhh thank you so much! Love meeting people online from Australia in the journalling community 🥰️ I've only just recently found out the TN lightweight insert is Tomoe River paper. It's interesting, some sites list it as TRP and others don't. I have the Olive TN in the regular size on pre-order through journals.net.au - can't wait to have the beauty in my hands 🫒💚

Green is one of the best colours, agreed. May I ask what ink you use to stamp out the jars? I seems to be waterproof, and I am intrigued.

I used the Shachihata ink pad. It's my favourite - ticks all the boxes: water resistant, crisp stamp results, quick dry time *chef's kiss* 💚

Oh I bought it in Japan! It's a chop-stick holder and I have repurposed it :)

When my friend told me, I was surprised by this too! But I checked out some reliable US websites (JetPens, Goulet Pens) and they have it noted in the product description for the lightweight insert ☺️
