During the shots with Alice using telekinesis, I remembered how people were calling her Mary Sue and saying "this kind of thing doesn't belong in Resident Evil" and was thinking "what people would say if Alexia Ashford post T-Veronica was the main character". Then fact #1 came. 😂

I live in Calexico which is the border town with mexicali. My uncle was a chauffeur for some of the actors in the movie including Milla. On his day off we went to one of the hotels where production was staying and I met Milla I told her I was a fan of the games and that I liked the movies, she told my uncle that she was going to see if I could go in a tour to the set. Two days later my uncle took me and they game a tour I have a bunch of photos with zombies and some of the actors in costumes. It was an amazing experience.

I love how in this movie the world is decimated by sand but in the next one there's oceans and rivers. One of the many bad retcons this series has.

Loving these Resident Evil movie facts videos. The main thing I love about these videos is that I learn more about this movies and how they filmed some of the scenes. Also love that the filmmakers weren't a big fan of using CGI and went for practical effects and miniatures. It always makes me wish movies nowadays did more practical effects and miniatures instead of just using CGI for everything.

I read one of the drafts of the script that had Jill end up dead, Betty (Ashanti) be the one to fly the escape chopper and LJ went into the Umbrella facility with Alice. He is the one to activate the laser grid to save Alice from Isaacs in that script. Goes to show that Anderson really did like LJ.

Ah yes. RE: Extinction. Where Johnny Cage fell of the Eiffel Tower and died after saving some teenagers from zombies.

Ngl this was one of my favorites in the series. It was so wacky and out of left field but it was so damn fun and interesting because they were able to fully do their own thing so you don't have compare it to the games. I would love it if we had a more bombastic game spin-off in the style of these movies. 😂

Most memorable part of watching it was being in my Dad’s car getting lost on route to a movie theater in Liverpool we hadn’t been to before. It was my freshman year at University and he was visiting the Sunday of its opening weekend (there wasn’t one where my uni was located.) Took more than an hour to make a 20 minute journey lol.

This is the movie that me into the games! I loved this movie as a kid. I was sort of familiar with the game because my uncle let my oldest sister play it. And she played 1 and code Veronica on the Dreamcast. So I was so happy to see to Claire in it! Lol

Great video! This has always been my favorite of the movies, despite its deviations from the games. I feel it has the most likable cast, decent story and solid direction.

I actually dropped a math class from high school to see this movie. And it was actually the first ever movie I saw alone in cinemas. I was 15 years old. Fun fact is that lots of my classmates also dropped that same math class, but to see another movie: one about spiritism and such, called 'Nosso Lar' here in Brazil. My math teacher asked anyone who dropped the class which movie they saw, and he was actually getting pissed about everyone seeing the same movie. But when it was my time to answer and I said 'Resident Evil', he smiled and said: "Yeah... this one is really cool. Excellent choice." lol If somehow, someway, you're around here, Mr. Bertier... A fun fact for Afterlife; There was a scene after the V-22 crash that showed Wesker with his Code Veronica burns. According to a script, Wesker would have been impaled on a jagged piece of metal, then have his neck snapped by Alice. Leeches would then attempt to feast on his body only for it to absorbe the leeches( gaining his tentacle mouth) and resurrecting James Marcus-style.

It was neat to see a possible outcome of post apocalyptic zombie virus. But I think everything died a little too fast in this story. If things were that bad, even the micro organisms living inside our bodies would be zombified and turn us into zombies.

I remember watching a personal vlog the actor who played the bus driver shot during his time on set, he mentioned in it that his character was named Otto after the Simpson's bus driver.

I could be misremembering, but I found it funny how the book curses so much and there is essentially little to no swearing in the film. Even quotes from the book are in the movie minus the swears.

I liked this 50 fact videos for the Anderverse Resident Evil. I am curious for a lot of things especially the decisions of straying far from the original content. Which is common for most video game movie adaptations and some Anime movie adaptations,. (Some because if the ones making it are Japanese it is accurate to the source but if it is US, then the paths will stray, example is Death Note from Light Yagami to Light Taylor and changing L's race.)

The constant cuts during the action scenes gave me a headache. I absolutely hate constant-cuts especially during close up fights which makes no sense because it takes away a lot from the narrative.

I made my idea for my Own Plot of Resident Evil Extinction Following Umbrella's attempts to cover up the contamination of Raccoon City, the T-virus spreads around the world, devastating not only the human population, but the entire global environment in the next 10 years. Alice wanders the wasteland that was once the Southwestern U.S., and after fighting off a family of marauders, discovers she has developed telekinesis and rescues a Dog Named Paco, Who is the only Known Dog not to be Infected. Simultaneously, a convoy of survivors led by Claire Redfield, Her Brother Chris Redfield and Raccoon City survivors Jill Valentine, Angela Asford, Carlos Oliveira, Barry Burton and L.J. Wade travels across the country in search of supplies and safe haven. While searching a motel, Otto, The Bus Driver, is bitten by a zombie. Fearing the harsh fate that awaits him, he chooses not to tell the other survivors about the injury. The next morning, the convoy is attacked by a murderous flock of infected crows which results in the deaths of Dillon Matthews, Jason Williams, Fred An-dreassi, E. Richard Price, Blair Manfredi, Monique Lang, Kenneth Mi-naya and Betty Grier, Who saves L.J. As the Ambulance Is Attacked. With the team nearly overwhelmed, Alice and Paco appear, and Alice defeats the remaining crows with her newfound telekinesis, though falling unconscious. Awaking shortly thereafter, After a Funeral For the Kenneth, Dillon, Betty, Fred, Blair, Monique, Jason, And Richard, Alice is introduced to Claire and tells her about the notebook, convincing her to take the convoy to Alaska. Later on in the Night, L.J., Angie and Chris explain to Alice how the Crows were completely Focused On L.J. and Betty, And not the Bus with the kids. Isaacs' use of a Parasite which was uncovered from Raccoon City, Known as Las Plagus, leads to the creation of a new zombie breed with Alice's blood from a serum. Wesker's security officer, Captain Alexander Slater, reports on Isaacs' disregard for Umbrella regulations. Wesker tasks Slater with watching Isaacs, telling him to kill the scientist if he disobeys orders again. Tracing an energy pattern sent out by Alice's telekinesis, Umbrella triangulates her location. Desperate to reclaim Alice for the sake of achieving his goals, Dr. Isaacs sends his new zombies to ambush the convoy In Las Vegas against Wesker's specific orders. During the attack, most of the convoy, Including Carlos are killed. Back in the Bus, Otto succumbs to his infection and Lunges at Angie and biting Jill, After Carlos is killed, Mikey retreats back into the news truck, Mikey finds himself to be alone on the vehicle and tries to move it but is stopped by multiple super undeads who had torn both doors and a side panel out from the vehicle. Mikey shoots the undeads and makes a run for it but is jumped by an female super undead, Claire manages to shoot the zombified woman with Mikey running towards the Hummer but fails as he is overwelmed by other undeads as he is torn apart. Umbrella tries to shut Alice down remotely, While Alice remains frozen a distressed Paco barks wildly, but she breaks free from Umbrella's programming and continues to fight. She finds Isaacs at the scene, and he is bitten as he flees via helicopter. Alice and Angie use Isaacs' computer to track the helicopter's flight path, leading them to Umbrella's underground facility, The Convoy retireve the supplies and bury all the victims that Perished in the attack. Chris is also Upset how Otto did not tell anyone about his Infection, and Since Angie still had Thr Anti-Virus She had From Raccoon City. At the Weather Station, thousands of Undead continue to mass on the perimeter fence, unable to break in. The tanker crashes the Undead, but before it can reach the fence it drives into a ditch and rolls over. Close enough to the fence, Jill pulls out a pack of cigarettes hiding behind the sun visor, but as the Undead break through the window decides to light the fuse first. Jill enjoys her cigarette briefly before the bomb Presumably kills her and a thousand other Undead. A hole has now been formed between the convoy and the perimeter, and the convoy speeds through, into the compound. Approaching the scene, Alice meets a holograph of the Red Queen's "sister" AI, the White Queen. She informs Alice that her blood can cure the T-virus, and reveals what happened to Dr. Isaacs. Alice discovers The Tyrant, defeating him after leading him to the replica of The Hive's laser corridor. Just as Alice is about to meet the same fate, the system is deactivated by L.J. Claire And Angie load the remaining Suriviors into the Helicopter, save for L.J., Chris and Angie who choose to stay behind with Alice, Barry, and Paco. Meanwhile in Tokyo, Chairman Albert Wesker holds another holographic Committee meeting regarding the sudden loss of contact with the Complex, who have now been deemed lost. Alice interrupts the meeting, using the holographic technology in the Complex, where she threatens to come after each of the other representatives She is Joined by Paco, Angie, Chris, L.J. and Barry, With Chris and Barry adding "Missed Us Wesker", And Wesker adds saying, "Chris, We meets again, I should've known you and Barry Survived that Mansion Incident, I guess Jill Didn't Make it". The film ends with Alice, Paco, Angie, L.J., Chris and Barry seeing the hundred or so Alice clones waking up in their chambers, being prepared to fight Umbrella on Their side.

I also wanted to put this in to do with the fact that the director behind this one thought it would have been more stand out for everything to take place during the day which I actually disagree with it made it kind of feel more or less terrifying in general I think he didn't get what they were trying to tell him when they said people might find it less scary and yeah it to me the first time I saw zombies in broad daylight it belt less scary then I do understand like yeah there could be zombies and brought daylight but there's something about them that's more frightening and haunting by night then by the maybe that's just me but I would have kept the night idea instead of the day cuz I feel like it would have made the situation in the film a lot more intimidating like I could maybe see like a particular type of enemy coming into the camp by day which would be the crows plus maybe some Cerberus that would be I think like the best idea for a day enemy and the zombies would have worked better at night because one that makes the surrounding for their survival more intense because everything would be swallowed in darkness by then especially out in the desert and I just think it would add more to the intenseness of the effect of them trying to survive
