The spinners looked very nice! Great job buddy! Kris did a great job on the feathered treble hooks as well. Enjoyed watching! Those spinners are going to be some fish catches for sure. Keep up the great work my friend!

Hey Joe. Just got a chance to sit down and watch this one. So the binding that's happening on the post after you twist the R bend has to do with the diameter of the die that they use to shape it. If you just use straight wire and put your own R bend they 'practically' never bind. I'll upload an unlisted video and send you the links to give you a couple useful tips on the wire bender.

I would love to see you incorporate a swivel on these. Also, is there smaller diameter wire available or do you think the .040 is the best all around size?

Yes you can get smaller diameter wire and I need to get the small diameter tool for my wire bender. .040 is definitely better for the bigger ones, but I could definitely go smaller on the smaller bodies.

.29 is the best all around size, but if you're not using a bender like the Hagen's, a .24 is still going to be much easier to work with pliers. And it'll still be much more durable than most commercially available spinners. Swivel's pretty easy to put on, but it can foul the blade on casting. I stopped putting them on anything smaller than 1/4 oz.
