I have been around homeless people....trust me this is actually not as bad as having to go to the bathroom outside, sleep outside and have to beg and steal your food. In prison you get a roof to protect you from the elements (homeless people do not), food 3 xs a day (homeless people do not), Recreation (homeless people do not) etc.... Soooo I understand that the conditions are not like a hotel but they do have it better then many people out there. Sorry if I had to help 1 person and it was either this guy in prison or a homeless person I would help the homeless person because they are worse off.

I used to work bringing foreclosed homes bought by banks. And we ran into so many people who were squatting. The banks would just resell the property instead of dealing with the squatter. The problem is the county and state want their property tax so if you find an abandoned house you can usually just pay the taxes. But depending on how long that's been and the housing market that might be more than the house is worth. So laws like that are there to protect the neighborhood from losing value and the banks do it every single day. They swoop the property's up and flip them. But every throws a fit when a poor person does the same thing

Adverse Possession is basically when you use and occupy, and maybe pay taxes and do upkeep on an abandoned property. So when farms are partially sold l, meaning there is acreage that is left over and sits there for years, an adjoining property owner may fence it and add it to their farm. It can work in a house if a person occupies a house, pays taxes, maintains it and pays for its upkeep for a number of years. It would have to be a circumstance where maybe the owner died and had no heirs or none that anyone could find. Usually a investor will swoop in and find those heirs and buy the house though. Or the county will foreclose on the property for non payment of taxes

Man when I was at CRC in Loraine Ohio, which is receiving, it was winter going into fall, and we found a damn brown recluse spider in our cell. I mean most spiders will stay still if ya throw like a lil spitball piece of paper by it but this thing got aggressive and put its front legs and fangs out. Luckily we had a lil window to catch it and get it out, but I was scared there was gonna be more like in my bed. 🕷

In the county here in west palm beach they charge 2$ a day from your commissary account, so if you want canteen you or your people gotta pay 14$ a week just to keep a positive balance. Inmates would come together and put 2 or 3 peoples money in one account and then share off that. Every now and then the account holder would get all the money sent in and then late night put his shit on the door and book to another cell keeping all the money 😂

I've been in a cell like that before. Got arrested and put in what you could call the drunk tank. No running water, a toilet filled with shit that was rotting and no mat on the bed, it was just a metal slab with holes rusted in it. I was in there over 20 hours and just stood up the entire time. To make it even worse..it was Christmas eve and they wouldn't even give me a phone call. It was fucked up.

I remember learning to jigger. A unit in FDC. I was savage w it later on Boone unit I flew a kite line over a tier across a 30 ft pod and into the cell down stairs . Took me over an hour . But cat couldn't catch my line no matter where I was outside his room . Lighting wicks and sending them thru the air shaft to the up and down stairs .

The thing is is when the owner does get it back it’s probably going to be in such bad shape that it will be condemned. There is a story of a lady that lived in Florida and bought a home in a different state and sold her home in Florida to move to her retirement home and it was condemned by the city and now she has lived in a homeless shelter for the last three year because to fix it would cost her almost as much as she paid for the house. The house was used for party’s and homeless living and had everything tore out and tore up.
