Its movements are some of the most intricate I've seen on a humanoid robot. This is really cool. You should get it to draw a smiley face! I understand that might take some time, but the end results would be adorable. Has any robot like this done that before? I'm pretty sure lots of people would pay for a smiley face drawn by a humanoid robot.

The movements are really great. I'm looking forward to seeing how you tackle walking with legs. It really is one of the biggest challenges. I've made small legs and it took forever. Making them strong enough is a real challenge. I can't imagine how you are going to manage to make it strong enough to hold the weight and also walk, but I will look forward to that video!

+Zviad Sulaberidze How is your InMoov doing?
@ZviadSulaberidze9 жыл бұрын
+gael langevin he is fine, except, left rotate gear is broken, he broke it by himself 😃 I have to draw it and print it with Polycarbonate. Draw, because, the original rotate gear was modified by me, after printing, otherwise it would not fit/work. Now if I print the same, it will be harder to file polycarbonate, than ABS. So I have to draw it modified 😃 teeth should be little inclined, like Higg's gear

+Zviad Sulaberidze Aaargh, damaged robot! Luckily we can re-print! Check my new version for the gears, I also modified the teeth angle, it might fit your need.

Ok cool thanks. Did you have good results with them. If you was going to start a new inmoov from scratch what filament would you choose or would you still use abs. I'm still new to printing so learning the expensive way so far

Sense the design for the head like this one is being used. Can others print other heads besides this one and have it work? Would love to know. Thanks.

Looks great Gael. Can't wait to get to that stage. I'm still on the torso. Has anyone tried any other filaments as opposed to abs or pla for the gears. I started off using pla. Now thinking of starting again using another filament but not sure what one will be best

The repetition is annoying and seems unnecessary. Also voice command in general seems unnecessary. Maybe focus more on speed and strength of the movement. Maybe also acoustically more pleasing mechanics. But pretty nicely done.
@DanFrederiksen9 жыл бұрын
+IMarsbar it could always respond to a stop command.
@hairygael9 жыл бұрын
+Dan Frederiksen Definitely possible to remove all confirmation commands. But I use InMoov in so many different environment, with music or people yelling very close by, the confirmation makes it then possible to control the robot safely. The robot has so many voice commands that it sure helps to control securely, specially when he poors a bottle of water in a glass during a concert with dB peaks up to 110. :) But I agree the repetition can be annoying.
@sb579658 жыл бұрын
It takes time to execute such a command, furthermore, that is exactly the problem he is addressing. It possibly would not be able to understand the stop command in loud environments, and stop commands cannot prevent direct action once the robot has already started.
