Good Video and helpful to see tear down of the v14. How much torque are you using for the wheel? Is there a way to prevent stones getting stuck between battery and wheel? I ride a lot offroad on gravel and many stone got caught between the wheel scratching the black casing. When will your fast charger be available? Where to get replacement bearings for the wheel? Thank you

Jerry, at 14:50 you use some type of white lubricant paste on the suspension. I don't know what the paste is, but I am seeking a brand that is available in the U.S. By the way, we purchased and love your V14 seat. Thanks.

Thanks.I put solid grease on the slide.I think it should be easy to buy a similar one in the United States.

I was told by Jason at E-Wheels that the 50S models have this modification already installed by the factory. I was informed that only the batch 1 models needed the washers.

Yeah, he's right.Subsequent batches of v14 and 50s perhaps do not have this problem.This is a matter of probability.But if your v14 slide doesn't feel particularly smooth, ensure to test whether it can fall freely like in the video.

Excellent video. Thanks so much for sharing all these observations. Why did you put only the upper two M6 washers of the 4 bolts on the upper bracket of the stanchions? So, just like motorcycles and MTB, stanchions are soft as long as we prevent that dark grey cream from forming and ticking the system. Kind of expected. However, do you think that this may be prevented by cleaning externally and adding more liquid lube from outside periodically, like on bicycles? This may help preventing to the entire disassembly, or extend the periods between them. Perhaps by releasing the pre-load spring, the shock can be removed and installed without needing two people. Then releasing the shock by the bottom, may let the stanchions move freely along its travel for a simplified maintenance? The lube you used on the stanchions was it silicone + PTFE? What about the shock. What do you know about its service? should we lube its shaft periodically from outside? What do you think about replacing the cushion rings with DIY gaiters with the cushions built-in? I mean the same idea of motorcycles that protect their forks from dust and keep the lube clean by adding these flexible covers. This may extend significantly the period between services. Again thanks so much for sharing such a great video and that seat looks great. 👍

Thank you very much for such a detailed reply.As for the questions you mentioned.Let me explain it to you one by one.The first question is why I only put the shim on the top two places of the 4 screws instead of all 4.One of the things you need to know here is that the reason for this or the reason why the slide is not smooth is that the two slide bars are not parallel and are slightly angled.This is due to Die production tolerances of the mould.If we fix all four screws, we have no way to change its tilt angle.It is only necessary to increase the space between the top of slide bar and the fastener.In this way, the angle between the two sliding bars can be corrected to make it closer to vertical and parallel.As for the method of removing the shock absorber you mentioned, I think it is also a very good choice.However, I don't have a special tool in my hand to rotate the fastener on the top of the spring to make the spring unload.If I have, I think this method is the best.The lube I used in the video was Ball screw grease，what is made of synthetic hydrocarbon oil, special calcium-based thickener, it has good absorption performance, Is a special thickener thickening synthetic lubricating oil, and add PTFE, anti-oxygen, anti-corrosion and other functional additives refined from the precision, high-speed, Wide temperature, long life grease; is a special for linear reciprocating motion, high speed and low noise special grease.About the cushion rings，I don't think DIY or a longer sleeve should be used to protect against dust.Because the reason why it was not smooth before was not because there was dust or debris in the sliding tube that affected its smoothness, but because the angles of the two sliding rods were not vertical and parallel.Because both ends of the sliding rail sleeve are sealed by rubber rings, it can remove dust and grease well.Even the lubricant on the slider will be quickly cleaned up by himself to squeeze the end of the sliden.So it is necessary for us to apply lubricating oil to it on the outside frequently.
