Unfortunately, the earliest years the 5512 will cover on OBD1 Ford F-Series trucks are 1984 (8500 lbs. GVW or less only) 2.8L V6, 4.9L I6, 5.0L V8, & 5.8L V8 engine size F-Series trucks.

The 5512 will show misfire count data. Go into the "Menu", select "OBD Mode Test", then select "OBD Monitor Test" after that. Scroll down to look at the misfire count data for each cylinder. This mode will take the hexadecimal data from the monitors in Mode $06 and translate them into misfire counts and monitor information. The 5610 handheld model or tablets can read misfire count data in OEM live data. This would be the best option for reading misfire count data

The 5512 comes with the complete OBD1 kit. The 5510 and 5512 have the same features and functions, including OBD1 compatibility, but for the 5510, you would have to purchase the cables and adapters separately.
