Awesome build! Would you think that the air is almost blowing on the wheels slowing them down? Some wheel wells or an “exhaust” to vent the air away from the wheels might benefit! Any resistance kills that mph!

You should do a disk break in the rear to stop. Something like the infraction v2 hand brake system

My thought also, it could also work as a trans brake to spool the edf on launch.

Excellent video Brandon. The guys I know that have ran EDF's at ROSSA use deployable parachutes to slow them down just like real drag cars. The parachutes are very hit and miss though & are difficult to get working right. E.g. chute size has to be right, deployment (spring loaded servo operated system), length of guide ropes etc etc. Still something to consider. Another option would be a disc brake fixed onto the axle and again using a servo operated switch to make it work.

Crazy Dragster. I watched one of your soldering videos. What kind of sobering iron, tip and solder do you recomend?

I use a Weller 80w iron. It's like 25$ on eBay. Can't go wrong and more powerful than most "hobby" solder irons. Big tip stores a lot of heat

The run going off-road was 54 Mph. It wasn't clean though so I didn't count it

You should add a brake to the rear axle, something like a hand brake set up off a infraction or felony. That way you can hold it in one spot while spooling the edf up. sort of like a trans brake of sorts.

I wonder what would happen if you had a second EDF it front of the other for front weight and makes a kind of 2 stage EDF. It would probably explode the rear one lol

i think the fat back tires and rear spoiler are superfluous now that the propulsion is coming from the fan instead of through the tires into the ground

@@QuinnsRC hell yeah. we’re not pushing off the ground with them, so why not minimize rolling resistance and air resistance and put skinnies all round? same with removing the spoiler, we’ve got the thrust vector above the centre of mass so there’s no need to further waste aero in providing downforce. make this baby a land speed record car and slip through the air with no resistance!
