The funeral answer "food". True story, my dad had cancer and 30 days before he passed away he made his funeral plans. I was at home when he got back from the funeral home. He said follow me and proceeded to tell me about all the funeral plans. He said, the only thing he hadn't done was pick the menu, he then said "I won't be there to eat it, so order whatever you want. Here's the name of 3 caterers." LMAO Made us both crack up, he had a great sense of humour up until the end.

I love that this is pretty much just 75 minutes of Steve Harvey doing stand-up with the contestants as constant audience participation. The man's a born comedian and a blessing to have doing what he does. The "building's on fire but no one told me" bit had me in stitches! 🤣🤣🤣 It's an uncommon talent to be able to just randomly invent a character like that with all that dialogue and have it be that funny!

Steve Harvey is the antidote for racism against black people. I cannot imagine one person on this planet that could not love this guy. He is way to charismatic, charming and funny to be hated. Sadly, I know I am wrong, but it felt good for a moment to think that there could be a better world where we all love Steve.

That is true, but he is also an entertainer. When he stops being entertaining, then you will see what people really think about him. Fortunately, the entertainment industry is one of the best ways to cut through the BS of racism and expose people to someone they otherwise would have dismissed. it is also the very reason why the art that black people and other groups have been adopted and somewhat appropriated by the masses including white people who even without nefarious intent, further aggregated those art to their kindred; thus diluting the muck that is racism. Naturally, true racists will remain committed to their cause, and no art can cut through them, but death. If one's culture and art is good enough to be appropriated, then it is good enough to help people find common ground even on a most basic or even passive level. It creates a baseline to which acceptance may be cultivated and ultimately flourish. Of course it takes generations and generations of new people to slowly but surely to get close to a more harmonized society, but then again, old habits die hard. Sorry for the long tl'dr.

49:40 - That was a really touching moment. Just for a minute, Steve dropped the character and you can see all sorts of emotions coming back to him. Being the celebrity he is, getting to meet someone else from his impoverished hometown on national television must have really blown him away.

The building is on fire.... When I wasca Local 60 Laborer, I was busy doing my job clearing work areas of debris, when I noticed that all work stopped. My Union told me of no job action, so I kept on working. Then... Finally an Electrician told me, don't you know what's going on!!!??? I told him no, what is going on then..
