It was an uphill climb after losing game 4. It takes so much to win 3 games in a row against playoff quality opposition, especially when that opposition has just beating you in 3 of the past 4 games, and one of those games is away. That said - this game was a huge choke IMO. The Heat didn't so much as 'win' it (well, let's be real - Butler played well enough that when the Bucks choked, he could drag the team over the line), as opposed to the Bucks losing it. * Missed way too many free throws. Giannis was sub-50% tonight on large FT volume I'm pretty sure. * Didn't call a timeout after Butler's tying bucket at the end of reg. Sure, only half a second on the clock, but you have to try and win the game by using your timeout; not just throwing up your hands and saying "sure, we'll play 5 minutes of overtime against the team that just doubled our score in the most recent quarter". * Allen not getting a shot off. Sure, you want to get a good look and don't want to waste it, but you know what the biggest waste of all is? Not even getting a final shot attempt in a must-win game. He's going to have sleepless nights, I'm sure.

the offense was stuck, nobody was moving, Allen was the open man. He just needed better clock awareness to know he HAD to get a shot up immediately.

Three key points to blame IMO: * Giannis had an abysmal free throw night. Had a huge volume night for frees, but I'm pretty sure he was sub 50%. When you go to OT and then lose the game, even one of those frees would've made the difference. * No timeouts called at the end of reg or OT when the Bucks could've scored. Madness. * Allen not getting a shot off. You need to get a good look, sure, but it's a must win game. To not even give yourself and the ball a chance to go in by not getting the shot off - just awful. I get that he needs to stay in the play and not look at the clock, but someone else needs to yell at him to shoot.

But when playoffs come Middleton and Giannis under perform, Butler dominates. There is a huge gap of mindset between Butler and these 2. Butler has killer instinct they don't.

I have been saying that Giannis is useless on offense when he is beyond 6 feet from the rim and when the refs don’t allow him to run people over. He doesn’t have any skillset other than being superior physically. Amazes me that he gets so much support for top player because I don’t see it at all.
