We are excited to bring you an EXCLUSIVE production showcasing the United States Air Force F-22 Raptor like you’ve never seen before. Get ready to strap in for the ride of a lifetime.
The F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team performs precision aerial maneuvers at airshows across the world to demonstrate the unique capabilities of the world's premier 5th generation fighter aircraft. The team also performs with the Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation to showcase modern day fighter jets flying in formation with World War II, Korean, and Vietnam era aircraft.
The team is stationed at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia. In March 2007, the team participated in its debut air show at Tyndall Air Force Base. Since then, the team has performed more than 250 demonstrations across the world.

I saw the F22 fly at an airshow at the Chino airport in SoCal. It was jaw dropping. I like airshows, and have seen many military aircraft perform great shows, like the Blue Angels. But the F22 is in a class by itself. It performed maneuvers that looked like it broke all the laws of physics. It headed streight up in a slow climb, slowed, and then came to a complete halt in an absolutely vertical position, and hung motionless for over a minute. Like it was hanging on a string. All kinds of small thrusters and control surfaces were in constant jittering motion to keep it there. It had to be computer controlled, no man can operate a dozen controls at once. It then slowly rotated on its axis, and gracefully flew off. I know the cobra maneuver, this was utterly different. It performed other maneuvers that should be impossible, like tiny loops in super slow motion. Like slowly tumbling end over end. It should have fallen out of the sky, but it was always in perfect control. It made me proud to be an American.

I lived across the Pearl Harbor entrance (at Iroquois Point) from Hickham/HNL. The daily F-22 departure noise at 8am, 1pm and evenings never got old.

@@sqwk2559 some other jets have some things over it. Typhoons climb faster and dogfight better. F-35s have better strike capability and can carry more weapons. Still probably the most advanced overall though.

In terms of domination of it's era the F-15 Eagle is the greatest fighter ever made. Air to Air, Ground Attack, multi-role. The Eagle does it all. 105-0 kill ratio.

@@saltyfloridaman7163 I specified, "in it's era". Of course the F-22 is an improvement on the F-15. It's the next generation. It replaces the F-15. The F-22 doesn't have the legacy that The F-15 has though. The P-51 Mustang is also one of the greatest fighters of all time. You don't compare it one on one to later planes though.

I got to see an F-22 perform at an airshow in NH. Even the best video cannot capture the surreal experience of watching that fighter do what they were willing to show us. Simply amazing!

There's no question about the skill set of the Pilot and the ability of the Raptor. We should also give the credit to the guy who edited this video so we could see these unbelievable manoeuvres in slow motion. This is an incredible gem of a video.

The worst thing about flying a raptor is enduring the G forces. Other than that, it is pretty easy to fly. This is what I heard from F22 pilots. You don't have to worry about Over stressing the airframe or anything. The flight control systems take care of that. Apparently in the training manual it said "you can manoeuvre this aircraft with reckless abandon".

That was very polite of you gentlemen to do this for me, considering I couldn't watch any freaking fly-by's yesterday in Ottawa. So to watch this this out there on behalf of the men and women in the US Air force and Lockheed Martin. I am very happy to see that you took full advantage and got camera's to display the incredible capabilities of this fine aircraft. That has been a model hanging in my room since 2002. I will let you figure out how I got that from my mother ok ;) Happy that you guys went with the LOX system. Been saying to do so, since 2004!

If you wanna fly, here's a quick outline of what it takes to get there. You'll need to keep an A average in school. If you get involved with extracurricular activities like sports it will help as well. Apply for the Air Force Academy (I believe you start the process towards the end of your junior year in H.S.). If you don't get in, go to a college with an Air Force ROTC program. You'll need to be around the top 5% of your class to qualify for flight coming out of ROTC. For flight school in the Air Force, it comes down to this. At the end of training the orders come in for what flight slots are open. If you are #1 in your class, you get first pick of orders. If there is an F-22 slot open, its yours for the taking. Best of luck to you!

@@theneonsamurai3771 I'm glad you are motivated! Keep in mind a few key points on your journey towards success. First is to keep focused on your school work. Its fun to think about the aircraft of your dreams, however getting a high score in school is what will get you there!!! Also the most difficult part of the process is staying focused for the amount of time it takes to get there. It is 150% worth it! When your day comes when You are the one in a flight suit as a commissioned officer and and are wearing a pair of wings on your chest, it was all worth the sacrifices you made as a youngster and your journey into aviation is just beginning! It is All Yours for the taking! God speed to you and Best of luck!

This could’ve been an amazing video, but it wasn’t. None of the maneuvers can truly be appreciated if they’re all slowed way down. What makes the Raptor so damn cool is the moves that almost seem to defy the laws of physics. You can’t fully appreciate those moves unless they’re played out in real time.

Migs tumble - The Raptor precisely points and recovery - way more useable. Plus it has many feature that's way too sensitive and classified for it's intended use that you can only drool over. What everyone can see is that the maneuverability of the MiG-29 is much superior to the f-22, it is not my opinion, you can give an account of it through thousands of videos circulating on the internet. "The Raptor aims with precision and recovers, much more usable" Nice try, but it's just your opinion ………………… .. sorry. "It has many characteristics that are too sensitive and classified" “Classified” is a euphemism that the yankees use to hide their limitations. What they cannot hide is what we can see and that is the MiG-29's superior maneuverability.

Absolutely love this plane. Even though it's massive the way it changes direction beggars belief. The only bit of criticism (if I may be so bold) is that one of the most impressive things is seeing just how fast it changes direction, but this video is entirely slow motion. Just a bit of a shame. Otherwise, it was a great way to show off such a beautiful and amazing aircraft.

The reality is that this figther is a far cry from the past generation of Russian figthers. And this is a palpable fact... not a hoax coming out of Hollywood corporations or Yankee journalism. When the F-117 came out, it was presented as a marvel of yankee engineering... The reality is that this "yankee wonder" was retired by a Russian defense system from the 1970s. lmao. 🤣🤣🤣

Just FYI, you can have a degree in basket weaving and still become a military pilot. They just want to see that paper that says you have an ability to learn and retain information. Pretty fair I think. I wouldnt want some local dumbass in the controls of a billion dollar state-of-the-art machine. Although some do slip through the cracks. 🤷🏽‍♂️

It would be preferable to see the jet fly without the Hollywood editing. Slow motion in real life is not a capability and detracts from witnessing how the jet really flies.

Nothing surprising, it will have to improve a lot if it wants to be close to the maneuverability that the MiG 29 had 2 decades ago.

I'm privileged enough to live 1.5 miles directly south of the Langley AFB runway midpoint. The demo team flies right over my house every time they practice. It's always great to see.
