Of course you find it ready. I've had one of these vapor things since I was a child, we bought it in a store that sold fountains. But the effect wasn't supposed to be fire, it was a vapor waterfall, so the vapor went down and dissipated before reaching de floor, and the lights used were blue.

The fogger is also made out of metal and is powered by electricity! The lamps are not even close to the water. Electricity is not dangerous in anyway if you know how to isolate it. Read a little about Tesla’s work and you’ll probably see electricity in a whole new way. 😉

@@MrSitonmyfacebook I've stuck my tongue across 12V, it's not that dangerous. Don't use a cheap wall wart, use a UL listed power supply. Don't need GFCI unless you're in the water with it.

It's a great looking effect, but needs a few more details if we're to reproduce it. Container size? Looks like a Lock n' Lock, maybe around 3 gallon comparing to the paint can. The leak-proof lid is critical, I'm sure. Also, that looks like a 3-head ionizer/mist maker/pond fogger, rather than the standard inexpensive type (look at the number of little round things on the top, cheap ionizer only has one). I'm not sure if the cheap ones will put out enough volume of fog/mist, unless maybe you use more than one (still cheaper than buying a multi-head mister). Great inspiration, but there's more to this than it seems. A parts list would have been great.

3 years later, hopefully I can answer: in short, no, or if it does, it will be extremely quiet. This is essentially a humidifier. The most would be water quietly splashing on itself. (my work has a few similar to these as centerpieces for the restaurant, just on a larger scale. I'm here mostly to see specifics. I'll probably try something on my own, but a bit more... well. Nice, what color are the bulbs? Red yellow and orange? The vapor get in the paint bucket by holes in the bottom of the bucket right? Nice. Some people see metal water and plastic and think OMG but they need to learn a little bit more how things work. Example an in line watter electric water heaters for shower, metal water and electricity, Do you get shocked if you touch it or shower with the water getting heated with electricity? Duhhhhhhh see no problem. And if there were to be a short it would blow the breaker.

@calipete5 жыл бұрын
You need the heat from the halogen bulbs to get the fog to rise like smoke.
@calipete4 жыл бұрын
@@Killer-Spirit-Gaming Yes, you are correct. The ultrasonic disc creates the fog. But the halogen bulb will provide the heat necessary to make that fog rise. Otherwise it will simply drift down like a waterfall, and not look like smoke.

Andrew Loisel These are more often referred to as humidifiers, vaporizers or foggers - I've bought several off eBay for my pond for less than $5 each and they work really well so long as the water level remains fairly constant - the only drawback really is they don't come supplied with the 24 volt transformer you need and these are a bit harder to come by than say a 12 volt power supply. Many of them also have leds built in, tho you could easily cover up the colors you didn't want with some electrical tape or something then they'd work fine for this project (which I'm gong to try myself just as soon as I fish mine out of the pond;) . pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=351127425403&globalID=EBAY-AU

@computerjantje Жыл бұрын
The big advantage of using hallogen instead of a blowing fan, is that the fire is more realistic 'slowly' moving. Most of these are made with led light (safer) but then a fan is needed to blow the waterdamp out. With a fan it flows too fast. The heat of the hallogen makes the air go up. Good idea. Just costs a lot more electricity :)
