I've started the game day 1. Solo Zard Main Since launch and never strayed away from the Fire Punch+Flare Blitz Combo. It gives him 3 cc like what more do ya need? Flare Blitz into Ultimate with Buddy Barrier let me tank a 5 team attack for like 5 seconds while totally decimating the Ennemies Carry with Atk+ and Being totally immune to everything (Except Slowbro). 90% of Gank success and let you stack up really fast that combo was always the best for me.

Know what’s even better than a Fire Punch Char? A Leftovers + Cookie + Choice Specs Char with Potion 😙 Edit: this is PURELY sarcasm pls don’t do this

I’ve been playing mostly a lot of solo Char, venturing into ranked and actually winning matches. Definitely going to give this build a try and have fun. All the extra XP on the map really has benefited Char I think

Fire punch hops that wall @ 7:08. You kinda went at it at an awkward slightly diagonal angle. It's a thick wall so you gotta be linear with it. Wonderful gameplay thought. You rock!

Fire punch and flare blitz set got me a 7 ko streak no joke that damage output is insane straight up went from 2 kos to 9

I play a lot of tyranitar and trevenant. So I am super glad when the opponent plays fire punch because it is so much easier to play against. Flamethrower is still much better.

I was doing the tutorial on my phone. Fire punch is a fun build. The issue is Charizard isn't really built for a brawler build. Yes his flamethrower build is built around auto attacks. But it also keeps him outta range of true close range attackers. Meaning he can kite fellow melee range characters. Fire punch puts you in the thick of things where you need to face tank more damage. Which again doesn't really fit how he's built. He doesn't have the sustain for prolonged fights against other brawlers. But it's definitely a lot of fun to play. They could maybe give a slight shield buff to Flare Blitz. To account for this. But I dunno. Might make it too strong.

I'll admit Fire Punch is a lot more spammable, but I still use Flamethrower in most situations. Flamethrower offers better engage/disengage with its mobility buff, which is essentially a built in X Speed, and if I'm fighting another Zard who uses Fire Punch, all I have to do is just play at Flamethrower/Fire Blast radius away from him and he'll never hit me with it. I might try it as a more CC focused build every now and then, but until they give it more range and make it burn multiple targets, there's no reason to not use Flamethrower

I never really used Fire Punch. Might have to pick it up for a few matches. Good content as always! On the subject of Greninja, as a Greninja main, I can say he is still incredibly strong, but as was evident in this match, people don't know how to use him. I run into more bad Greninja players than any others.

Until zard burns more than one person with FP i still think it needs that buff. Adding more CD gimmicks to fire punch won't make it any better in the current meta.

Fire punch still needs to set multiple people on fire. First hit only being burned makes it inconsistent and weak when you need it

Still playing flamethrower bc I cannot do this achievement for the life of me. I think it only counts an auto if the enemy takes all 4 ticks of the auto or something

Which attack items do you recommend on charizard? I use Fire punch, flare blast. And the held items are Scope lens, muscle band and buddy barrier. And the attack items are x attack. And it's been working for a while.

for me i like the cookie choice specs and leftovers on my char now

Should've used the most op build for char, cookie, leftover and choice specs for maximum emotional damage

I don't know if you want to try this, but I've had win streaks w Jigglypuff(sing double slap), health hold items, and sp-att boost embs. X-speed also

Have been using fire punch + fire blitz since pokemon unite release. I use this set and my wr now above 80%. Idk why people think the other set was better.

How does the shield for flare blitz work? I never see a shield pop up.

Flamethrower is better for most cases. I use fire punch + flare blitz combo for those annoying pokemon with multiple dashes. Flare blitz to lock dash and initial cc, fire punch to stun lock. Perfect for chasing down dive cramorants

Charizard is the first Pokémon that I got in this game. I need to play it more. It’s not like I hate playing it. Very solid Pokémon!

My wife is a charizard main and I convinced her to use fire punch because of the buff and she absolutely dominated lol she’s not going back to flamethrower for now that’s for sure lol thanks as always cowboy for the awesome vids!

Char was my first Pokemon in the game and he's been a solid choice with both sets first fire punch and flair blitz were the go to then flamethrower and fire blast got the movement buffs and not fire punch got a buff it's bacicly a pick chose your style with him wich is awesome both sets show the vast differences a simple move change can do a great dezined Pokemon just wish his unite didn't miss alot other than that he's still awesome put a few stacks on him and burn everything to the ground or punch some lights out either way hes fire.

Fire punch is looking good, although this 666 emblem page is garbage. It’s a gimmick that shouldn’t actually be used in a serious way. On another note, Blastoise is looking like its back up to A tier status after the last patch. Ive been wrecking with spin spout lately. Surf pump is still trash though for solo queue. I don’t know if it will ever be a comparable choice.

Buff way too much on a charizard and makes most of high elo game a must to use charizard
