I received plastic surgery because I lost a lot of weight and had to get rid of the extra skin. I also did my chest and that was half because the weight loss destroyed it, and half because I’ve always wanted it done. I’m so happy with my surgeries. But I went to a surgeon that won many awards, great reviews, did lots of research, and make the right choice. Plastic surgery is great if done for the right reasons, but you have to do your research, know the potential risks (and weigh if you feel they’re worth it), make an educated choice- and don’t go to a surgeon with a tiktok.

Here's an important piece that you may be missing oompa: Notice all these post-op pics are only a few days after surgery. Their faces are incredibly swollen, which is typical and caused that stretched out look. Full recovery after this type of surgery takes more than 6 months. Other practices take after pics after the patient has fully recovered, so the swelling has gone down and they look more "normal".

I’m a veterinarian, not even a human doctor, and I would never ever ever have any social media open in the OR and if I see any staff in my OR checking their phone for more than a timer/alarm for meds, it is the only time I actually raise my voice…absolutely disgusting

Matt without a doubt has had cosmetic surgery. You can tell without seeing a previous photo of him, there's something aesthetic about those surgeries that simply aren't natural to the human face, and when you've seen and studied faces enough (I'm an artist, not a psychopath) you can start to spot them almost instinctively

The ear lobes pointing outwards is most likely due to the extreme face lifts -- face lifts are (from my knowledge, I'm not a professional or anything) achieved by takingaway skin around the ear/forhead/chin area and pulling the remaining skins' edge back, then closing up the wounds and allowing the skins to heal so the skin on your face becomes tighter. the extreme skin pulling causes these people to look like uncanny valley characters and sewing the skins back causing scrunching up around the ear area and the ear lobes to point outwards.

What I think is extra awful (at least in the US) is that you tend to only have 2 years to take a surgeon to court for that stuff... With how long some of the surgeries take to fully heal up well, thats not enough time. It needs to be bumped to 5 years.

It’s really suspicious how the only way to contact Dr Kim from his TikTok is the link in their bio. You don’t really get to see any proper credentials from him or if he’s even licensed. The whole thing seems underground and I’d hate to learn that a bunch of unsuspecting people chose to contact him thinking they’d get a professional face lift, only to see some guy without any proper equipment or hygienic mask and gloves etc. The saddest part is when they see the result they’ll probably feel too scared to complain, so it’ll be one of those things where they just go home and cry after looking in the mirror.

Infections can and do happen, but as someone who nearly died from sepsis and had an amputation due to a bone infection, my doctors know to do absolutely everything possible to decrease my chance of getting an infection and dying. I feel so bad for her and I hope she makes it through this with as few long term issues as possible

I just had my fifth hip surgery, very major multi-hour surgery and the first of two I have to have over the next 10 weeks. I spent a lot of time researching and talking to surgeons. If I found a video of my surgeon dancing around during my surgery or anyone else’s surgery, I’d be firing him on the spot and filing a complaint. I prefer to keep my life tyvm

These people most likely had seen before and after photos of this doctor’s work before their surgery, and chose him specifically for his dramatic surgeries. Their faces will relax quite a bit once their faces have had time to fully heal. But with this said, I do agree that it is too much IMO. Hopefully the patients are happy with the results because at the end of the day, that is all that matters.

So... I know this is gross, but this reminds me of how dead people look when they try to reconstruct for the funeral.

Just remember roughly two thirds of doctors get sued for medical malpractice. Make sure you are going to someone who is trustworthy and reputable.

plastic surgeons are actually pretty important (for instance if your face gets mauled, a plastic surgeon is who helps make you look less mauled)

The creepiest part is what dr. Kim does to their eyes. Whose eyes are those?? They aren't the ones they went in with for sure 😂 but I don't think they look older, it makes them less human looking so, at least for me, it's really hard to pin down what age they look like.. it's so sad because they were beautiful and now they look creepy. Uncomfortable. Expressionless. Emotionless.

I've had some reconstructive surgeries after a house fire and they were really careful not to overdo it. But I do live in a country with decent healthcare so idk.

there is a limit to these things that people keep passing. like, if you had broken your nose and decided you wanted to fix the shape, that’s understandable. breast reductions are understandable as well. they can be extremely heavy, to the point where they are causing physical issues such as severe back pain. but people who look fine who decide to inject their faces with all of these chemicals, or completely rework their faces, that’s just wild to me.

Even just getting the shape of your eyes changed can cause unbearable pain, but these people are having their entire face threaded literally like how you shape clothing. As well, having your skin stretch like this will absolutely cause issues like extreme sagging because your skin becomes weaker from being stretched too much and discolouration

Every single one of the Dr Kim after photos gives me the same reaction I had when I saw those prisoner enemies from Silent Hill Downpour with the head gear/stitches that stretches their mouth and eyes to uncanny levels I am absolutely horrified

I love the way i look and never plan to get plastic surgery. The only surgeries ive had were inner ear surgeries to replace a bone in my ear to help improve my hearing. The second one was actually successful btw!

This whole situation is so disturbing. I feel so bad for all the people that these surgeons have gotten to let them turn them into these uncanny beings because I very much believe that everyone is beautiful the way they are. To anyone out there who’s thinking about getting surgery, whether it’s for health or just personal reasons, please know what you’re getting into and at least do your research.

FFS. I'm almost 50 years old, and in my experience, the "pencil test" was a weapon used in grade school to shame girls about their bodies. Gross AF. Maybe this doctor could teach us about "cooties" too.

All of these results are one week after surgery, when swelling is at it's worst. It takes up to a year for the face to fully settle after a facelift. These faces actually do look like every other facelift after so little time, in a couple of months they will look much more normal. It's weird that this is what they're advertising because it is shocking but it's part of the process of a facelift so don't worry about these people, they'll look much better in no time.

Anyway, if people want something, and they’re willing to pay for it… they’ll find someone to do it. No matter how bad of an idea it is. Edit: I wonder how they look MANY days later or whatever (not just one week or one month post surgery). I sure hope after some time it looks better 😳

The biggest red flag for me is the amount of makeup they have on in the videos. The whole procedure produces nightmare fuel most of the time, but the makeup (or filter) they add for the "after" shot is just bizarre. Makes me think that they can't do their job even poorly, so they hide their errors with makeup and filters.

My uncle has been in the liposuction business over 10 years. You should be awake in the office with not a big incision when you get your procedure done. The only person that ever has to go to the hospital while during a procedure from his thousands of procedures was someone who took a blood thinning agent, which is listed and told not to take before the procedure. If all these patients were getting infections that operating room was most likely not as clean as it should have been. He refuses to do bbl and other things like Botox because they don’t last and can be dangerous. Lipo is a pretty safe procedure and if a company has had people die there it a serious red flag.

Dr. Kim is literally an ARG or analog horror, but it's so much scarier when you realize that it's 100% real.

there’s so many plastic surgeons who have success on social media WITHOUT live streaming and neglecting patients. a quick buck will never last especially when folks lives are at risk

i will say there are uses for plastic surgeons other than just cosmetic surgery such as severe injuries, deviated septums or my case getting some piercings sewn up

I'm gonna say it again - it takes a year for these procedures to heal. They're still very swollen after only one week, and these are not the final results. People who get these procedures usually feel extremely self conscious after the fact, and all of this negative attention is bound to cause one of them to jump off a bridge.
