This is even more impressive when you understand Russian. He's giving him a number like 23+35, then giving him random numbers + calling him a dumbass to distract him. Good shit. And the shooting at the ground is done on purpose, it's crowd control.

Beer? That's straight up vodka bro. Beer is an insult. True story. I was in Russia, my fiancee kept warning me of her brother-in-law, that he was a heavy drinker and not to keep up with him. We met him and his wife at a hotel. They drove on from Kursk. I bought a bottle of vodka to break the ice. He brought a bottle of vodka as well. In the room we finished 2 bottles. Before we left to eat dinner we were wrestling on the floor. We went to a nice restaurant and kept drinking, Russian beer and more vodka. After we ate he ordered a full carafe of Jack Daniels. We finished that, and left. He literally passed out on the street. I had to pick him up and carry him to their car. The next day he was so happy with me, like I was instant family. He took us shopping. Bought us a really expensive stainless flask wrapped in stamped leather, and the matching shot glasses. He also bought us a very expensive BBQ utensil kit in a really nice steel suitcase. He even gave me his personal jacket off his back. After that day, when he talks to my fiancee, his sister in law he calls me his brother and tells me he loves me. Russians are on a different level. If you treat one with dignity, honesty, and kindness you'll have a brother from another mother.

True, respectful warriors, despite nationality, tend to have more in common with each other than many think. Politics is one thing, people are another thing. I was deployed to Kosovo in 1999, we got sent out to the Russian checkpoint and stayed out there for a couple weeks. They’re a totally different breed. On the first day I asked one of them if their AKs shot good, dude replied “da, very good”” and ripped off a few rounds above everyone’s heads at the checkpoint. People were diving for cover because no one knew what was going on... it was pretty insane. All of our rounds were counted, we’d have been article 15ed for doing that. They don’t give a shit at all. Jesse Anderson I assume he’s referring to the powder load inside the casing, not the slug. If it’s a 230 grain 45 caliber FMJ at 50% of normal load capacity, the velocity will be significantly lower; resulting in less impact force. ;)
@wormraper
@wormraper 4 жыл бұрын
@@seregabrin what the fuck are you talking about. I was saying that most likely they were using severely under loaded rounds that were firing at a much lower velocity to make sure the impacts on the body armor were felt less. Competition shooters use that technique all the time to reduce recoil so follow up shots can be on target faster. You can most certainly crack ribs getting hit in the chest/ribcage with body armor. Seen it happen with Kevlar. Using powder puff loads decrease the velocity of the round enough where the armor absorbs the impact easier. Reeeeaaaaad

You can see that this operator has strict weapon discipline (by Russian standards) if you ignore the fact that what he is practicing is uncommon practice. The only time you see him facing the others with his index finger on the trigger is when he fires the two warning shots into the ground to demoralize them.

Its interesting how many in comments didn't understood what is the point of this drill. Alfa is police SF anti terror unit, and this drill is designed to train "sharpness" and fast thinking during stress.The other guys are not "crowd" but they try to deconcentrate him while telling him what to shoot. First they speak numbers and he needs to shoot them on target but later they speak like "23+35" and he needs to calculate and shoot 5 and 8. It is very good drill.
@Soff1859
@Soff1859 8 жыл бұрын
+Bato Buter Well the shooting at the ground has to be crows control... what else could it be? Also he's pushing them away too. So clearly they aren't just "noise", in the scenario they are physically harrassing him too, otherwise he wouldn't be pushing them away... But yeah it's a mix of staying focussed and crowd control. I guess that training is intended for a Maidan kind of situation, where they'd have armed insurgents protected by a crowd of unarmed civilians. They'd have to keep the unarmed people at bay while accurately taking out the armed ones, to avoid giving the opposing propaganda machine any extra material by killing unarmed protesters.

Extreme to some i think this training is completely relevant. Training can never simulate the adrenaline and the emotion you feel in a real life situation. You must train as real life as you can to become as used to the feelings as possible. When you no longer fear the concept of being shot in the chest or shot at for that matter you can engage and perform without limitations. Your reaction to flinch or hide is removed in training and you can act with full aggression and concentration. Hats off to these guys for having the balls. Id rather be shot in training under supervision than anywhere else.

@@chemistryhacks5289 I've read the book "Inside Delta" this does not make me an expert, just telling you my source. Apparently, part of Delta's training includes a very similar kind of thing. Similar in the fact that you fire very close to a real person. Its a kill room with some targets around it, including a trainer or trainee sitting somewhere in the room. The Delta guys open the door, flash and move in. They tap the targets and try not to shoot the trainer/trainee siting in the middle. "Inside Delta" was written by an ex-delta operator from when Delta first came online. So its been quite a few years since his training happened. So who knows if its true, has changed, or if they still do it.

Range I go to has a shoot house with live (human, they shoot back.) targets and simunitions and we treat everything as live and deadly, because it could be if you're careless. I suppose an instructor might let you do the first drill since you're already firing wax bullets at each other, intending to hit a person. And part of it is to present you with a real world scenario...but the general rule is you don't go for the head. Once the wax (lol) starts flying though things feel very real very quickly and you really just want to return fire wildly. Even when you know the penalty is a little sting you have to actively try and remember not to unload and to do everything you were taught. I can't even imagine knowing the penalty is actually getting shot and still doing this. Screw that I'll stay in civvie land with my wax thanks.

Russia has different types of Spetsnaz. Spetsnaz is just a term. ALFA is one of those and they're more like counter-terrorism while OMON and SOBR are Police Special Forces, similar to SWAT. Then there's FSKN which is similar to DEA. There are a lot of different types of special forces in Russia. Even their marines and paratroopers have Spetsnaz.

@Lics Norgi because why not. I believe pushing your training to the very limit is better than staying on your comfort zone. Battlefield is not a joke and is full of risk, if you cant take this training because it has a risk it means this lifestyle is not for you. Me myself i understand that this lifestyle is not for me but if i ever had a chance (which very unlikely) to join this training, ill give it a go. Maybe because i love to take a risk 🤷🏽‍♂️

It doesn't make them crazy (like I read in some comments or see in a reaction video from a US Marine). This type and level of training makes them the best SF group on earth. Using no blanks, fellow operators in front of your gun, shots fired close to your head, shooting at each other so you learn to trust each other and the gear you're wearing for a 100000%... they're on another level. Respect 🙏🙌
