Any of you rockin' the staff? I love the combo's!

I'm surprised Hermes's Kerukeion isn't a staff - in Odyssey it's a spear. But the legend it's based on is a staff. A "kerukeion" means a herald's staff. It should be a staff , not a spear.

Another great combo when you're trying to push a shield away is dodge + heavy attack which, if you dodge towards your target, is pretty close to as good as the heavy dagger attack at leaping into someone while knocking their shield aside.

I personally love the staff myself and I agree there's not a whole lot of Legendary Staff's. We definitely need more.

I never comment on a KZfaqr's page before, But i want to say thank you..I use your staff build and i am wrecking on hard mode. I had to make some changes...I use the Olympic torch and the spartan warrior outfit form the helix store because i don't have the epic gear you have, but everything else is form your build...So thank you again for taking the the time out and doing these build videos and making me LOVE THE STAFF WEAPON....very underrated weapon....THANK YOU!!!!

I totally agree Ubisoft should add more legendary staffs!! As honest I would actually like to play with a staff but I feel they should have better and cooler stats too!

200+ hrs in and I have actually just started playing with a similar build, minus elemental damage, to get my staff kills up. It’s actually very fun and you are right, there should be more staff options

I don't have master of the seas, and without ML at staff, I got 31K to 32K staff damage (INV screen). Once you get overcrowded, start OP attack, your health is filled and your enemies flying all over.

Heavy attack after parry does a great crowd control attack too. Dont remember if you said it, maybe I missed that part. Didn't know about the LLLL + H combo thanks for sharing!

Thank you , big help in my transition from glass cannon style, am used to tanky styles in other games , whether I play arcane , liight armour or heavy armour characters .Always my preference Was looking for aoe weapon damages,.( new player to odyssey btw.) :)

Tried a simple staff. It 's interesting. I like multi use of all types of weapons. And learning to tailor them for specific enemies. Not much into specs, have a multi class ability fighter. Sometimes die, often win...

Just a question; Where do you get the Rough Staff?

Use the Achilles armor because the health returned plus crib damage while full health is unstoppable

My warrior build is staff/mace, and my assassin build is sword/dagger. I didn't set out to set them up like that. I just happened to loot the right wapons with the right damage and perks, and they happened to end up in the build that made thematic sense lol

ive tried some staff builds and hated them., but this one looks fun, ill have to give it a go!

I love this build and this staff play style. But I’ve already hit 99 and put a lot of my masters perk points in hunter perks and masters bonuses. I use a lot of CRIT chance and CRIT damage perk points to help my hunter style. My question is two parts: 1.) Is there a max amount of perk points available (I read 207 somewhere, idk if that’s right) to allow me to blend these two play styles if I just keep grinding and getting more masters perk points to put into staff perks and bonuses? 2.) Would you recommend blending those two play styles or focus on another warrior weapon type to assist my hunter build? I love your videos and appreciate your in-depth knowledge of Odyssey!

Excellent build . I use this build with few changes. Instead of spear, I am using another staff which has warrior damage, crit damage,damage with staff and the same legendary engraving.

Staff was my favourite in Orgins too. Sadly they barely have any legendairies or even cool skins for it. Best and most fun weapon but can't change appearance in something a bit cooler looking

I'm rocking your super-demigod build poison staff, which one would you recommend this one or the other? I'm probably gonna stick with the super demigod build for the assassin skills.

Just got the game... and after seeing the intro had to rock all red and gold royal staff & Achilles Bow look

"Centered around attracting large groups of enemies." I think I was born with that perk because they certainly like to chase me. >:}

I'm still waiting for them to get a Zeus, Posiden, and Hermes Legendary Sets. It would be so cool. Throw lightning bolts, summon tidial waves and be able to move 50% faster are just some of the abilities they could do with it!

Where did you find the damage turned to poison damage perk? Is there one for fire damage? If there is, where can you find it?

i got lucky with he torch of olympus and have used it for most of the game. it’s a shame there aren’t many more staffs

Tbh the staff has always been my favorite weapon unless I’m fighting a single person than it just gets in the way

this was cool. I played around with staffs a bit at the beginning of my Odyssey but left them behind. any ideas for a simultaneous poison and fire dagger build? I've tried Arachne's Stingers with adding Weapon Dam Becomes Fire Dam. so I can hit with both poison and fire simultaneously and chain more combos with the 6th Sense and Slow Time Assassin Ability using light attacks. I've found Shadow of Nyx useful for this theory because it lets me sneak right into a target's field of attack and since daggers have the shortest attack range... I basically pop up outta nowhere right in the guy's face, hit him LOTS with the seconds from 6th Sense, and chain MORE combos with Slow Time. basically I just thought this one up for fun and since some Mercs are weak to either poison or fire or melee. plus the "one man slash-travaganza" just looks cool. :D

hey there itsJordanDoes....tried out this staff warrior poison build you posted, with a few variations coz i dont have the exact same items with stats...but somehow after going for L L L L plus H attack...i get close to 500000 crit dmg ^_^ staff dmg rocks ^_^ next to my dual axe fire build ^_^ nice going setting this up Jordan

My favorite weapon is the Staff always because it's affecting in a long-range, you can improve your movements with the Staff, the best staff user is Jade from Mortal Kombat and Kassandra in my opinion.

Was able to do a whole legendary build with the Hermes staff and the Olympic torch staff that almost mirrors this. Had a kill 15 Spartans with a staff mission and did it!

This video is older but I started playing a few weeks back and I am lvl 42 on Nightmare. I have been using a staff since lvl 3 or so and I have not figured out how you add that small slam to combos. How do you add that AoE slam? See 14:34 for example

The only thing that bugs me a lot about how Odyssey works is that the builds end up being locked behind the mastery ability trees. It would be neat if whatever loadout you had saved, the mastery abilities would stay consistent for each changing build because it is horrible to keep resetting my mastery abilities for a new build I wanna try out :/

I have a quick question. I’m playing on Nightmare and I use the spear that caps your health at 25% but +100% damage. With my health being only 25% of my total health bar.. does that still count as crit on full health?

It's that the Rod of Asklepios has a terrible perk but at least it looks awesome and you can use it as a visualization.

Important question! 4:52 - You did another attack after bull rush, how? I know there are some additional moves after some abilities like for example there is aditional hit after hero strike or there is another animation for shield breaker (a leonidas spear stab with a shock wave that send few enemies flying straight ahead). How to achieve that? Is this some kind of ability combo? That mentioned hit after a hero strike look similar to rush assassination but i cant use it during the fight, it seems to start on its own. Im asking this because I saw those "special moves" on random videos I cannot find again.

I have only watched 5 minute of this vid but cant you crithit chance Wile at fuld heath + damage restored as Heath+ crit damage + staff damage+ chance to ignore half damage. I don’t know if this is possible but if it was would that now be a good staff build on perck side. Pls forgive my bad grammar I an a kid.

I started playing a week ago or so, already at 70 hours... The staff is my go to weapon. But man was I bummed out to see there are so few staves! And apparently the endgame ''Staff'' is actually a spear? WHY! I wanted to use and love spears, but the staves are what the spears should've been ahaha

Funny thing is, the staff that gives the worst engraving actually has the best design.

When I attack forts I go through the front door because it's boring when there's no challenge.

Is it useful to use the 30% armor penetration perk on a heavy blunt build? Would I gain even more damages?

You would be better off using two staffs so you can use another "30% damage with staffs" instead of using a different weapon type. I use two spears with my poison crit build so I can stack as much "30% damage with spears" as possible. You can also use "30% damage with staffs" with "20% damage with spears and staffs" on the boots at the same time.

I’m half through the game, done every quest i came across, done all the thombs in the main game, im at lvl 74, done every question mark and revealed every location except messara and i dont have nowhere near as many skill points as you do. r u using a trainer?

So, does it matter what type of weapon/armor I get as long as it has the stat buffs? Like is there a difference between a recurve bow and a serpent bow with the same stats?
