Just this past month, I went to a summer camp for two weeks (I am 18) and we went to our out trip. At this point of the camp, i had caught exactly zero fish. We set up our tents and then instantly I was fishing with one of my buddies. We caught 100 fish total between us in about six or seven hours, and i was even fishing alone for a few of those in the morning of the out trip. We caught exclusively northern pike minnows. They are called minnows, but they can grow to a good foot or two and offer a pretty good fight.

At about 10:20 I was once fishing with my uncle at a dam spillway for northern pike when I saw something shiny in the water (lol my ADD) so I kind of fished it out with the daredevil spoon we were casting and it was a spoon so I threw it on and caught a 27 incher the biggest all day. The fish in the pool were almost all fairly small because the weren't strong enough to fight the current of the dam on the other side.
