It’s finally built - the ultra-luxurious Meyer House. It’s always a fantastic sight to see renders come to life, and the Meyer House is one of those that you really have to see for yourself to feel the difference. (See the old show flat tour: • Inside An Ultra Lux $7... ) From the private lobby for every single unit (yes, every unit), to the private lift, plus the very plush lobby and walkways beneath the pool - it is all incredibly well-designed and just feels very well put together.
Meyer House sits on a freehold land size of almost 110,000 square feet, with just 56 exclusive units total. It starts from 1,862 sqft for a 3 bedroom unit, all the way to a massive 5,662 sqft penthouse unit. It was designed to be the "Nassim of the East" by acclaimed designers like WOHA, Yabu Pushelberg, and Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl and is developed by a joint venture between UOL and Kheng Leong.
We also really like that it faces a park (although it’s a small one), and it nearly feels like an extension of the space.
For those looking for landed living but still want to have facilities in a well-designed space, this is one to look at.

I love Stacked Homes, and all the nice videos it puts out. If it's anything that could be improved is that some shots are washed out and over-exposed, and maybe some colour grading could be done to make the video even better. One request is to see more Kheng Leong properties.. Both 15 Holland Hill and Meyer House are gorgeous!

A private pool within a unit is one of the worse thing that can happen. The pool itself is too small for any proper swimming to be done. The only saving grace for this unit is the size of 3240sq ft. But to pay such an amount is simply not justifiable especially when one can go for older units which would have a much better floorplan and lower price. This is obviously paid advertisement and a poor recommendation. Meyer Road don't even have any view at all. This is coming from someone who own a few condo in Singapore. One of them Costa Rhu though only 99 years can beat this hands down anytime.

Well done Reuben for the elegant presentation of the project. Clearly this project is targeted to a very specific high wealth group of families. To be honest, I’m a bit surprised by the overall facade look like Royal Green, also a bit of dormitory look. Also the AC ledge just outside the bedroom floor to ceiling door? It’s definitely disappointing from the overall look and practical point of view.

Unless I've missed something, why does this unit (you're showing), need an elevator lift, if it's a ground floor unit? Why would any ground unit floor need an elevator lift (unless, it's actually elevated (off the first level) despite being (called) a ground level floor)? Cause carparks is located at the basement hence the need for a lift. Few other project with ground floor units or Strata house have grohnd floor unit with basement room that has a doorway that exit straight to your unit parking lot. :)

I used to live opposite at 125 Meyer Road. This is no doubt a beautiful development, but sadly Meyer Road has now become overbuilt and lost its sense of tranquility and exclusivity. Thanks for the great video!

With star architects and interior/landscape designers, I was expecting a little more. The entrance driveway into the development is a little disappointing. There is no sense of arrival. The units are built up right to the edge and the facade is barely interesting. What's with the orange brown blinds/ louvre ? It doesn't seem to go well with the rest of the areas where the wood tones are different (lift lobby and concierge etc). With the facade, orange blinds and private lift lobby design in the basement ...it gives off the self storage vibe ( think storehub , extra space) lol. The individual lift access is meant to give supreme privacy but unnecessary and pretentious for ground floor units. The bedrooms open into common areas...what privacy is that? So if you want light in the bedrooms and keep the ac ledge area open,, anyone outside can literally walk up to your bedroom. The master bedroom opens into the living room and common balcony, and seperate from the main pool by a low hedge. With all this openess, what exactly is the point of the private lift lobby downstairs? I am confused. On paper, the units look huge but at least 25% is dedicated to the lift lobby and massive ac ledges. Guests need to enter via the basement lobby.or via the service lifts and corridor that opens directly into the kitchen? Reminds me of cluny park residences by SCDA. Not very practical. How do owners access the rooftop and common areas on the ground floor? Service lifts l guess 😆 or worse still take pvt lifts to basement and change lifts. Not so sure if the landscaping is good. The underground arrival court is decent but the landscaping around the pool and main entrance looks worst than those from Far East projects. WOHA creates stunning commercial projects but in this case, one can only wonder if their creativity is stifled by the requirements of the developer to maximise profits. The only saving grace is that the pricing is decent. It appears that these developers borrow architect brand names but don't want to pay them enough. Isnt this UOL project just a cheaper updated version of Nassim park residences? SCDA is the same. From highend development (the marq, 21 Anguilla), mid tier condos (echelon) to public housing (dawson) they just use the same interlocking design. It's like a cookie template. I wish Ole Scheeren would do more residential projects. We will miss Kerry Hill and his Martin no. 38 with it's clarity in design. The only saving grace of this video is Rueben's unhurried and clear presentation style. 👍 Stacked homes curated content is great 🙌

Thanks for sharing your detailed thoughts on this and for sharing your kind words! We think that if we’re judging from a pure design perspective, then what you said is on point. Now, the entire condo scene has changed unlike in the past where everything is about costs. Margins are tight today after factoring costs like the land cost, construction, marketing and so on. If top tier architects worked on it, perhaps it could’ve been better thought out but it would further erode any available margins left. Today, developers have to make that balance between cost and design as well as being able to price the development so that it can move. The problem with Meyerhouse is that you can’t build high unlike traditionally what people would pay for the views in the area, so there is an upper limit on what people would pay for this frankly quite niche type of housing. Any higher and it’s likely that buyers would turn to landed homes instead (foreigners aside). Guests will definitely have to take the private lift up to the unit as the drop off point is at the basement or directly outside the door. The rooftop area has no common area too - so only if you bought the penthouse unit will you get to enjoy it.
