An electrified carbon-neutral home, Arden Electrified produces only as much energy as its occupants would use. Crafted by Arden Homes on behalf of developer Villawood, the minimalist display home uses electric appliances to reduce its carbon footprint.
Located in the Victorian suburb of Sunbury, Arden Electrified, an electrified home that champions the removal of natural gas from the earth’s atmosphere, represents one of the most popular designs provided by Arden Homes. The spatial arrangement of the electrified carbon-neutral home sees the main suite situated at the front of the dwelling, followed by three additional bedrooms, a sitting room and to the rear, an open plan living-kitchen-dining space.
While presenting a contemporary aesthetic, the interior design of the electrified carbon-neutral home enables an effortless domestic lifestyle. The material palette is comprised of engineered timber flooring and stone which each foster a sense of light and space. A large kitchen island benchtop allows for easy access to the refrigerator and cooktop. Fitted around the corner from the main kitchen area, the ovens are positioned to enhance the social character of the electrified carbon-neutral home, embracing the idea of a welcoming green home.
“Being our first electrified 7-star house, it was a natural to partner with Fisher & Paykel, with their vision of becoming a carbon-neutral company by 2030,” explains Dean Morrison, Director at Arden Homes. The Fisher & Paykel selection in Arden Electrified exemplifies the brand’s eco-friendly focus and support of sustainability. In addition to a 90cm induction cooktop, integrated appliances enhance the functionality of the electrified carbon-neutral home. The full-sized Fisher & Paykel dishwasher accommodates the needs of a large family and the laundry room features a Fisher & Paykel washing machine that offers a steam refresh option with a large 11kg capacity.
Inspired by the proposition of a gas-free estate, Arden Homes unlocks the potential of electrification, creating an electrified 7-star home that does not contribute to climate change. Showcasing an efficient interiority defined by well-chosen appliances, the design of Arden Electrified champions the reduction of greenhouse gases, leading to a minimalised impact on climate change.
