Outer Reef certainly know how to build a long range explorer yacht, it's the perfect home from home. Another fantastic tour Elliot of this masterpiece of an Outer Reef 900, just brilliant!

Fantastic - Nice to see the Brit MB&Y Team branching out ! Love the drawer fridges they make a lot of sense. Crew quarters WOW ! Really Good engine space - looks like caterpillar 12.9 850 HP ? The owner did a fantastic job with their decorating plan. Great stuff. My only complaint thus far is no fiddles in the galley area on counters or cooktops. Great Helm ! This looks a lot like a retired Navy family ( well deserved) Each stateroom has its unique decoration - Brilliant attention to detail by the owner ! The helm se\ats look very high quality - Stidd ? The yellow bar seats WOW !! The decor quality of this boat is among the best that I have ever drooled over ( let me get the handkerchief) . A truly fantastic review by MBY You did a tremendous Job !! One of MBY ex reviewers needs to take some notes from this great review (NB).

The interior design is always subjective, not normally a fan of the dark woods but as the boat has so much window area and light it’s not overwhelming , and it does fit well with the boat as the reviewer says warm comfortable living space . The trendy New York loft apartment or Scandinavian minimalist chic look is fine for sending endless Facebook pictures or impressing guests but there are endless builders of those type of boats if that’s the look you want . I must say I like this one .

All doable. The bow was being prepared for the naming ceremony so I missed the Portuguese bridge forward and serious ground tackle. They also offer a Portuguese bridge forward of the flybridge helm also

What a beautiful lady. Between the craftsmanship in manufacturing and exquisite design and the gorgeous fit and finish all combine to make her one of a kind. At least for the time being. The most beautiful of things are often the most emulated. Outstanding choice you've made in showing her to us. This has set the mood for the remainder of my evening. Thank You.

Beautiful boat but it is decorated like a 1990s Fort Lauderdale time share. The only thing missing is a bowl full of shells on the table and a couple of sand dollars on the sideboard. Sad to see the decor missed the mark so widely. But that wont stop it being the truly capable vessel it is.

@@rtbinc2273 the owner clearly let his wife run wild. I can she what she was aiming for - she was shooting for the Rhode Island "Ralph Lauren" Americana style on classic cruisers but I fear she wound up with Tj Max instead.

@@ironichumorist I was taught "De gustibus non est disputandum". But .....There is a taint of sexism in this. Men and husbands do decorate. Just my 2 cents: I watch a lot of European boats on Aquaholic's channel and I'm left wondering if they have all of their interiors delivered in flat packs. That is the problem with most high end European design, it all looks cheap and flimsy. The difference between a $5000 Saarinen table and an Ikea $200 Docksta table is nothing. Its like a very well executed French Omelet - they are just very pretentious scrambled eggs.

I spent some time with the owner and his wife. The yacht totally suits their character and was built from decades of their cruising experience. It will be very well enjoyed over thousands of miles in tropical and near arctic waters.

When you are spending this kind of money the yacht is whatever you want. Go to Aquaholic's channel and look at the Super Yachts designed by and for Versace and Roberto Cavalli - utterly outlandish. Get your several millions together and Outer Reef will build you what ever floats your boat.

I am a sailor but if I ever give up my sails, my wife is praying for the day, this is what I would love. My only problem is the $7m difference in price, maybe they nice peolple at Outer Reef would do a staight swap? Love the boat and the video, it is nice to dream.

Overall, I really like the concept...the interior decor is pretty much in line with what I'd want - something that's welcoming and doesn't give off a a Eurovibe "look but don't touch...because I'm so damned pretentious!" that seems to be so common in the yachting world these days. Past that, I do have a couple nits with the design...I disagree that the view from the pilot house was good...I saw the bow and it appeared to have a very large blind spot forward. And...it didn't look like there was a day head on the main deck - to me, that's something that I'd prefer to have. The crew quarters...that's how it should be done. Beyond this, given that it's a 90' boat, there seems to be a lot of wasted opportunity. Yes, it's what the owner designed, but I truly hope that Outer Reef uses better design thinking for production models.

Beautiful boat, but you focus on certain things and not the others, where is the TV? It looks like the kitchen can be closed off from the bridge. Does it travel with 3 or 4 crew? Obviously the captain has enough room. There is a domestic fridge/freezer, is there additional cold storage anywhere? Like with sailboatsz..?

Yeah it’s a lovely boat the GB , beautiful finish , a lot less volume though and quite shallow draft , there’s a lot less of it in the water than the Outer Reef and only half the displacement of the Outer Reef . The GB I would have for coastal cruising but for real offshore and ocean crossing ability the Outer Reef would be my choice , the engine room for a start is much bigger which is what you need when spannering on engines 1000 miles offshore . The fact they’ve also proven their pedigree by rounding Cape Horn several times would be the clincher , I can’t see anyone sailing the GB down into the southern ocean and rounding the horn on a boat with those complicated IPS units either . But for weekends away and motoring up and down the coast the GB is a fine machine .

Epic volume and obvious quality……. but, 1970’s Wilbur and Myrtle Winnebago vibe on the interior style. I realise it’s an owner design, one who takes their children and grandchildren boating…….. so they are old, so the style is fully in keeping. By the same measure, it would look ridiculous with a Bauhaus Euro-vibe……. maybe somewhere between. If I had to guess I would say it was an immaculate 1980’s build from the exterior style….. I would still gratefully accept it as a gift and keep it as is, forever 🙂🇬🇧

These owners missed a good joke. Shoulda called the boat Julienne, which is a type of cut for veggies and stuff. Unless of course it's just a regional spelling difference.

beautifully made but it looks awful I'm sorry but if you showed me it I would say it's a 1982 built boat. Each to their own I guess but I'm not sure why anyone would want a new boat that looks 40 years old already. 🤷

When I first saw what Europeans called crew quarters, I was embarrassed for you guys . How Europeans think it’s ok to treat employees with such indifference is kinda strange. On one boat a chain locket and storage for fenders in the bow of a cat was the captains room. He had to go through a hatch then half way down a ladder he had to insert himself into a coffin size hole

Explorer yachts are rarely fashion statements and lean toward practical live-aboard comfort. Not for everyone but this is a fabulous example of that.

@@terrywalker1624 if you look at yachts like Fleming, Nordhaven and Outer Reef. The hold their value exceptionally well. They tend to do 1000’s of miles a year. This owner was on his third Outer Reef and will be cruising from Alaska to the Caribbean. Not your typical Sunseeker or Azimut owner. He also wants a boat that is home from home not a fashion statement.

But my home was a stylish waterside pad (I recently moved) and I would love to live aboard and travel long range in that home from home style. It's just not that look that you ever seem to find. And I wonder why, given that they cost so much their owners must have fine homes too? I want the best of both worlds. Sadly, I can't afford it!

I spent the entire video with my neck pointing my head up. since the video pretty much show interiors from chest height and below... never lookin UP! Some cabinets you look in, you only see the bottom half, because you NEVER LOOP UP! Frustrating to watch! You must spend you life walking with your head bowed, all the time. I don't. If it's your camera gimbal, then buy a better one! I've commented before, and you don't improve! Frustrating!

That by far is THE Worst boat tour that I've ever seen. Your camera movements would make a dolphin sea sick, thate angles are totally misplaced and contrite. You have done this boat and owner a great diservice.
