Anne Burrell has a taste for dinner and design.
The Food Network star took Page Six on an exclusive tour of her maximalist loft located in the heart of the hip Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.
“I had an architect/designer, and … the design part he was offering was very beige - and I’m not beige,” Burrell, clad in a vibrant green and blue polka-dot dress, told us.

You evidently never had a cat. There is NO way to keep a feline off of anywhere! Keep Clorox or Lysol wipes and just clean the surface when you need it. The ONLY way to keep a cat off of tables or counters is to overfeed it so it's too heavy to jump up. Geez! Lighten up, ladies. I bet you all have a teeny tiny dog that you let lick/kiss your mouth. Now, that's gross!

I understand people love their furry friends, but in all my years of apartment living and home ownership combined, NEVER did any of my cats jump onto my countertops and tables. I put them in the bathroom when company came over, while I prepared food. Of course I cleaned off my surfaces each time before I prepared food. I had an experience as a kid, where there were cat hairs in my pancake syrup, when I spent the night at a friend’s house. Not cute!

The best thing about this apartment is how much she loves it and how she allows her cat to be at home too! My cats are allowed on my counters and I’m religious about wiping the counters down before and after using them. If anyone doesn’t like it, that’s of no concern to me.

See you live near Red Hook, check out Caputo's, love the apartment and all the different colored walls. Love the paisley wall, was a textile designer and did a million of them. I love that dress, that is the best outfit I've seen on a chef, interior designer whomever on You Tube.

I used to have the "I'll make your first drink ... " rule but, as my mixology skills have improved and my drinks become more complicated, I pretty much have to make them all. What a comfy home. I LOVE the terrace too. Being in Indiana, we have similar weather, so there are few perfect days to be outside. For the next few days our heat index will be near 100!!!
