controversial opinion: these videos are starting to lose their charm now that they are basically just fan meetups

Mate. We don't want to watch fan meetups. We want to see a documentary on the trials and tribulations of the neighbourhood.

As a teacher in Logan, youtubers like this have the opportunity to be such a positive influence. Wish these videos were utilised more to encourage these people and get them off a path of bad habits and addiction, as opposed to celebrating the hood culture.

I'm starting to think that, no matter how much Spanian talks about the negatives of life on the streets, these kids don't view his videos like that. They still think it looks cool and are being influenced

This series is turning into "which area can show me the most idiots?".

Next time you pick an area, tell the guys to be discreet. If you turn up and they have told all of their mates just walk away. This video didn't have the charm that got us watching in the first place. Now it just seems like I am watching BreadGang

Spanian, mate, we don't want Into the Hood to be a fan meet up, brother... If you're gonna keep promoting criminal activities and wannabe gangsters, please look into your mind and heart and remember what makes this series so damn amazing. Because this isn't it. Fan meet ups are fine, but they belong in different videos. We aren't enjoying the promotion of criminals, and I worry the fame is getting to your head. I know you've got it in you to do better!

What about the victims of crime? Where are their voices? The kids getting assaulted or stabbed up over street beef, the disadvanted families trying to raise kids getting their houses and cars broken in to. These gronks don't deserve all this hype

I'm an American living in Australia and moving to Brisbane. I find it helpful that he points out the bad places to avoid but disappointed that he doesn't use his influence to promote better living and lifestyle. Not cool man.

The murder of the old lady mentioned was the mother of a close friend of mine. That story is wild in itself, the group of kids were all repeat offenders out on bail, stabbed her in front of her 6yr old granddaughter who is the daughter of my friend. The kids killed her and stole her car, travelled 10mins and ditched the car. It was so senseless and that was in a newer and more “respectful” suburb. The youth crime issue is just getting completely out of control. Suburbs that used to be “safe” are now fearful. It’s wild.

The killing of the Grandma, Vyleen White, was in Redbank. After she finished her shopping at woolies with her granddaughter, a group of guys tried to rob her car. One of them ended up stabbing her to death in front of her granddaughter. I think all were caught but they were all around 15 years old. The one who stabbed her was also on bail for armed robbery offences. This area (Springfield and surrounds) isn’t known to be one of the worser but this murder hit so close to home and really shocked the community.

I´m german and i lived and worked from 1990 till 93 on a prawn farm near Logan,. At this time there were no drugs or gangs in this area just a few Motorcycle Clubs, weed and mushrooms. So times has changed these days. For me it´s hard to see that peacefull areas are going down the drain worldwide.

Logan is like old Germany. There is a Berlin wall running down the middle of it called the M1 highway. On one side you have Woodridge, Logan Central, Marsden etc with the low-income housing and Centrelink office. On the other side of the wall, you have Springwood, Rochedale South, and Daisy Hill with million-dollar houses, well-kept parks and facilities.

Lived in logan for 25 years. Only had my house broken into once in that time. Waterford, woodridge and crestmead. Its not even that bad, this vid is just chest beating showing off for the camera.

Used to like spanion and his content. I found him genuine and entertaining. Now his videos have turned into a circus. I'm sure he is doing this on purpose to increase his notoriety. Hopefully if this continues no one will get seriously injured especially from someone losing control of there car doing burnouts. My opinion doesn't count for much but it's my honest opinion. Of course when you go to an area now they are all over emblemishing their hood. All these suburbs aren't as bad as they are portrayed but I'm sure this is all good for your you tube views. Money gets to most people's heads and they seldom remember or appreciate where they come from. Do something constructive to help these communities instead of portraying them as the worst areas in history.

I lived there in the 70’s and thank god had a great upbringing and some brains to choose right from wrong and got a great education and drive to get to the other side of this life! Some people just need an opportunity or some positive direction but others will never break free!

8:54 marsden maccas is my old job and I was there for what they're talking about, it was 2022* and the guy who robbed us had a knife, not a gun. But yeah it was wild. I heard our store was his third stop that night (he also robbed a servo and somewhere else apparently). The police showed up when he was robbing us. The poor girl he held up with the knife had only been working with us for a few months, never saw her after that hope she's doing well. But yeah the police were the ones shooting - they told him to come out, drop the knife and go with them basically and he kept threatening them with his knife when they literally had guns..and he apparently lunged at them when they shot. Man wasn't even wearing a shirt, or shoes from what I remember. It was raining when it happened too. He had to be on something. He died on the way to the hospital. Anyway we obv closed for the night after that and I had to clean everything and close the store. It was really eerie in there that night. And it was definitely on the news, had some family message me that night asked if I was all good (I literally saw it on 7News later). I have so many stories from that store though, it wasn't a one off kind of thing. That's why we had a security guard every night. I worked there for almost 4 years before I moved stores. But all this to say, the "tribute to him" thing you said man fk that, sht's not funny when you go through it especially the 15 year old girl he held a knife to the throat of. He got so pissed when she couldn't immediately open the cash register (because there's no button for it you need to put an order through and she'd again, only been there for a few months). You can't even imagine how she felt man. She was terrified. Think about that sht next time

Logan is a low socio-economically diverse community but its not the cheapest area to live, rather, it's more expensive than most areas. Fuel, groceries, land rates and rent is more expensive in comparison to the rest of the suburbs surrounding Brisbane.

I live in Logan and i was picking up my school uniform. as I was coming out of the uniform shop I heard a scream and a lot of yelling. What happened was a dude was probably selling his dirtbike and had been set up by the buyer. The dude selling the dirtbike was knocked out and the dirtbike was stolen (all of that happened right next to a police station) and that's not rare at Logan 😭

As someone who grew up in Logan and had lost a loved one to gang violence, as much as I apprieciaate your vids, this video is more like of influencing others about the gang life. It may be all cool and swaggy to be in a gang or live in the hood but I know and you know that its not a good life.

I’m from US and enjoyed watching but these past few videos have really changed. Places that you visit are no where near the Ghettos of US but were interesting to watch now these videos have become fan meet ups and promoting trash. Instead of trying to promote better for the communities your videos promote the complete opposite.

I’ve been moving in and out a Logan all my life (whenever I’m in financial struggle honestly) and I rarely see stuff happening.
