Not to sound silly but man i really admire what kurt does. He goes to another country and he finds a way to make it work, not get ripped off and stay out of trouble. I get stressed out going grocery shopping at places around my own home. Kurts really living to the fullest and accepts fear and the unknown. That blows my mind. I need to learn to stop being so afraid of the little things and to stop caring about what others think.

Oh he's afraid, everyone would be. The thing is that he's prepared and he's fully aware of what could happen. Bravery alone kills people, fear alone makes people stay at home all the time, but bravery with fear make for a great adventure.

Maybe if you are confident, approach people in a friendly way, and show them that you mean well, you can go anywhere. That brings some light into even the darkest or most desperate of people. They will likely appreciate something like a shared drink or conversation with such a man.

Hello Kurt! I am a citizen from Chocó department, and I want to tell you that I am happy to know you visited Bahia Solano. I have never been there, but I've been told that it is a nice city, the people there are very friendly, and they are motivated when a foreigner goes there and start speaking English, that's why those boys were following you until the barber shop. I really enjoy watching your video! I also know English because I love the language and I want to speak it as a second language. Greetings from Colombia!

I was once told how dangerous Belize was. I rented a car and drove around the whole country without one single problem. People were so amazing. Such an incredible and beautiful country Belize is with great people. Love to central and south America.

Also, in 20:19 he told you *_"Era de un narco traficante, Pablo Escobar"_* which means *_"(The hotel) used to belong to a drug trafficker, Pablo Escobar"_* so basically he was telling you that as something from the past.

You're wrong, It was not used to belong to a drug trafficker, was a simple hotel because Pablo Escobar even though he sold drugs helped Colombia too much because the rulers were corrupt before and now in Latinoamerica.

@@vincentvarona4839 That's the typical stereotypical thought that almost every foreigner that has never been to Colombia has about Escobar and Colombia. Ignorant foreigners think that we, Colombians, have this idealized image of Escobar and that we see him as a Robin Hood and that is absolutely WRONG and completely far from the truth! Nobody in Colombia likes Escobar's legacy and nobody wants our country to be associated with him. Furthermore, many Colombians hate narco TV series like Narcos as they think that those series perpetuate the negative image of Colombia. I would even dare to say that this guy Kurt also had the misconception that Colombians saw Escobar as a hero and that (plus his bad Spanish) made him understand the completely opposite to what the guy said. Again, I did write down both what the guy actually said in Spanish plus its English translation so everyone can confirm that what I wrote is true. Spanish has the advantage that you pronounce what you see so anyone can see that my writing matches what the guy said even if they have never taken a Spanish lesson. Again, that guy did say Escobar put the country upside down, he never said he helped the economy. As I said before, it doesn't matter if you are talking to a rich or a poor Colombian, nobody in the country wants to be associated with Escobar, and nobody would highlight him in a positive way.

Its crazy how interesting and captivating it is to watch someone walk around in a place that is a whole new world when you grew up a privelaged American like myself. I don't mean we had money, we were poor with 6 kids in the house. But our poor looks well of when compared to places that have true poverty. It really puts things into perspective. Love your life no matter where you are born and be thankful for what you have because someone has it worse.

@@Ben-yp9nh WOW in his videos he is speaking it. Perhaps not fluently but he can get by much better than most Americans that I know. One must keep in mind that in South Africa he has no exposure to Spanish whatsoever and here in the US some Spanish is pretty much part of our lives.

that crazy woman Kurt met was actually onto something. She was saying "Im so happy you came, how you've been, I always watch you on TV, when I saw you arrived here I prepared everything" the scariest thing she said was "you had told me that when you arrived here you were gonna take me away to live with you." It genuinely sounds like she wasn't just crazy, but that she can see the future somehow. Damn that's crazy, she knew Kurt was gonna come
