He was painted by the French artists that were sent and also had the title of Monomotapa King. The Solomonic kings of Ethiopia were also kings of the Monomotapa Empire of Great Zimbabwe. Many of the European portraits of the Monomotapa king are in fact Negus Fasilides. Cool tours!
