What can rubber buy you? If you're Frank Augustus Seiberling - this massive estate and world-famous gardens. This is the estate of the founder of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Take an inside look at this Tudor revival manor with 95% original contents left behind by the family that called it home for 40 years. The first time I heard of the place was from a gardening book showcasing the estate's 550' long birch allée. The gardens are spectacular - well worth a visit indeed.

Thanks for posting. This was the first estate I had ever visited. Forty years ago my Aunt Gert took me there in the middle of winter. The grounds were covered with snow, so I have no recollection of the gardens. However we were the only guests to brave the weather and the dulcin gave us the royal treatment. We viewed about 20 rooms of the mansion including: 4 music rooms, the breakfast room, the great hall with its numerous animal trophies and the imposing parent's bedroom that was brought from England and assembled with window that overlooked the great hall. I was thrilled with my visit to Stan Hywet Hall. Perhaps I'll see it again, but it won't be as good as my private viewing.

My Mother Worked there when she was around 18 years old. And we lived a couple streets down from there. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to see the grounds.

Nice! You’ve never been? They are so beautiful, especially if you love gardening. We went mid-July for reference.
