Absolutely, I'm pretty sure it was her (and perhaps her mother's) intent for Charlie to take all the heat for this. I bet my next paycheck that Wendi is the Golden Child and Charlie is the family scapegoat. Wendi probably does everything her Mommy says, but Charlie not so much. That's why Charlie ended up where he is.

NO brother decides on his own to "take care of" his former brother-in-law for no reason. WENDI Adelson is the common denominator - involving her brother Charlie, father Harvey and mother Donna in her personal business. Her manipulating (and no doubt constantly whining to...) her brother and parents is what resulted in the cold-blooded, horrific murder of Dan Markel. WHY isn't WENDI in prison, already?!?

If you haven’t seen Dan’s mother’s (Mrs. Ruth Markel) interview on this channel, it’s so heartwarming , but sad also. Wendi refused to let Dan’s parents see their grandsons. Even though Dan’s parents live in Canada, Ruth worked very hard to get legislation passed for grandparents’ rights in Florida.

If you’re new to the case… two hitmen from south FL that killed Dan Markel had no apparent reason to kill Dan. One of the hitmen was dating Katie Magbanua, Katie also dated Charlie Adelson (the brother of Wendi Adelson, Dan’s ex-wife). Katie is the connection between the hitmen and Wendi’s brother, Charlie. Charlie, his mother, his father and Wendi wanted their sister/daughter to move back to Miami area but judge would not allow her to move the boys away from their father Dan after their divorce, Dan was a law a professor at FSU in Tallahassee. So far found guilty: two hitmen and Katie. Next up Charlie. Unknown if Wendi (Dan’s ex) and Charlie’s parents (Donna and Harvey)will be indicted…

It didn’t take a long time to put together the connection. Wendi opened the Pandora’s box the day she was picked up by police and interrogated. She drew in the brother and that blew the case wide open.

I do believe that was the plan of the Adelson family. First off they wrongly assumed Tallahassee are dumb hicks and believe me, she used reverse psychology during that interview. They never thought the police would figure it out and even if they did the evidence was hard to come by originally. Their hatred and jealousy of Dan pushed them over the edge. They think they are untouchable and have been so far. It's crazy that after briefly meeting Charlie and the "family" Jeffrey had the entire case laid out. Sadly, power,prestige and money make it very difficult to get convictions. I pray Charlie gets LWOP followed by Wendi, Donna and Harvey. I wish this was truly a people's court without politics!!! Any regular family who did this would already be in prison.

The relocation was not the major reason Wendi wanted to kill Dan. Wendi wanted to kill Dan because Dan had some law suit against her coming up in August. And one of theses law suits was in relation of doing some financial fraud and the other one was for kidnapping the kids. Theses would have resulted in losing her law practicing license. And this is what scared her and wanted him killed. Her brother was her patsy. She is the one who provided info about Dan going to New York and had to be killed before that trip. So I wonder why they dont interview the other boyfriend of Wendi, Daniel, the one she was double dating with Jeffrey lacass? She may have told him too about her brother’s plans to kill Dan. Besides her poor brother didn’t want to kill Dan. He bought her a tv instead. But! That was not good enough for Wendi. She forced her mother and brother to do something to get rid of him. Charlie was happy with his life, he had a good job, good investments, lots of cars, lots of money, lots of girls, lots of holidays. He didn’t need to do that. He was forced to organise it for his sister and his mum. They wanted that done. Charlie was happy to buy her a tv instead. It’s Wendi and her mother who must go to prison for life. Charlie should get a less sentence. His father also knew and he must also get a sentence.

It's hard to say if Wendi will ever be held accountable but I would be surprised if we don't see Donna arrested. I believe Donna is the the one that got the whole thing in motion. Without Donna, Danny is still here.

@@chrislancaster1982 Yes, Donna may have got it into motion, but with the help of Wendi and Charlie..Have you seen wendi's police interview and rehearsed call to her mother? Wendi is still the prime suspect with the most to gain and the prosecution can clearly demonstrate this. I too have had apprehension re wendi being held accountable. but if the prosecution get it right with Charlie, then Donna, then my guess is that the circumstantial evidence would be strong enough by then, to arrest and charge Windi pants.

Wendi is Donna's Golden Child. Unfortunately, Charlie is the scapegoat, and there was always the intent for him to take the fall. That's why Wendi threw her brother under the bud. That's why Wendi dated a man her mother told her to, because she does whatever her mother wants. Not Charlie tho, but he's so desperate to get the same love as Wendi from his mother, that he would do something like this, after being pressured by his mother to do this.

100%. Wendi is nothing but a RICH, SPOILED BRAT who’s been given EVERYTHING she wants her whole life and told that she’s a perfect little princess. When Dan wouldn’t give up his children, she LOST IT……. Couldn’t process it and had no idea what to do or how to act. So, she did what she knows. She cried to her mommy and big brother and they “took care of it.” I can’t fathom that people exist who think THIS much of themselves and NO compression of basic civility and law. With all that “education” of theirs, you think they’d be a little smarter!

I would’ve kept on walking. I wouldn’t have touched the note and I would’ve told the man to leave me alone, if I had no knowledge of the hired hitmen. But even more telling was Mrs. AdelSins telephone conversation with Charlie. She says “it involves me and you” The bump DID NOT mention Charlie. Nor did the undercover mention Charlie’s ex-girlfriend. Undercover only mentioned the name Katie, and her friend Tuto.

Wendi's first trial her hair is straight with medium highlights, the second trial her hair is frazzled due to her worries about the law closing in. Her third trial for her brother Charlie her hair is semi straight with copper & brown streak highlights.

I just watched the police interview the day Dan was murdered with Wendy at the police station. She immediately thru her brother under the bus, yet her crying was fake and she thought right off the bat she was a suspect. That is why she thru her brother under the bus. Wendy is guilty and needs to be brought to trial. Everyone who orders a hit on their spouse gets someone else to do it and they get charged too. So should Wendy this is just outrageous! Too much evidence she knew what was going to happen. Let a jury decide or we will not have complete justice.

Thank you for condensing this case for us. I missed the trial due to watching the Take Care of Maya trial. The motive was greed and alienating children from their father it seems. How horrific. Poor father paid the ultimate price.

Two things. There was no custody battle. There was a dispute about relocation. Also, Charlie didn't hire Luis Rivera. Sigfredo recruited Luis to go with him to Tallahassee

@@batangaseaaa Luis said that Sigfredo hired him. Sigfredo also denied responsibility for the murder, so I would tend to believe Luis Rivera's confession. He said Sigfredo told him to take a ride with him to Tallahasse. He then said that Sigfredo then told him they were "going to get hired."

Sometimes I think he has too many balls in the air with all of these cases. We are on our way to close to McKinney TX where Carl lives.

Robert Adelson has given information to the police which has been made public (or he made the information public himself). He said that when Prof Markel was murdered, at first no one from his family contacted him to tell him. Then the briefest of messages was left on his phone by a family member - when that person knew he would not be able to take a call, so there was no "risk" of speaking to him. He tried calling to speak to any of the 4 of them for days and days. No one would answer a call from him. Then he phoned from a different number. Wendy answered, and was clearly shocked and annoyed to find herself speaking to him. She pretty much cut the call off as quickly as possible. AFter that no one in his family would ever even allude to the murder, or to Dan Markel ever having existed. Robert Adelson figured out for himself what this meant, and he cut off all communication with his family. He said to him it was obvious from their behaviour that they were culpable. When asked, a number of years ago, whether he thought about the people who were responsible for the murder, he replied that he very much wanted everyone who was involved to be found guilty and to go to jail, but he was concerned that the people who had set the murder up would get away with facing no legal repercussions. He also said that the whole family view The World is: They, the Adelsons, should do whatever they wanted, no matter how illegal or unethical, and that if anyone behaves in a fair or honest way, it means they're a chump and a loser. He said they are motivated almost solely by money and by a belief in their superiority which translates into hating and looking down on everyone else, including and often especially people who are supposed to be their closest friends. This is something that Wendy's sometime boyfriend mentioned as well. That Wendy would go out with her "best friends" for dinner and be super friendly with them. But the minute the friends had gone, she would rip into them and spend the next 10 hours saying how stupid they were and mocking everything about them. The phone calls that the FBI taped between Donna and Charlie Adelson, the ONLY things they ever say about Robert is how much they hate him Charlie has now been cut out of the parents' Will, and Robert was years ago. So Wendy is not the only person slated to inherit the millions. Worked out interestingly well for her hasn't it?
