I've noticed something that's puzzling me. Why put texture (when sculpting) on the face if you're just going to cover it up with fur? does it help with attaching the fur on the face?

Yes, but also helps with a lot of things, makes the sculpt look finished, gives texture, adheres better etc.. Might just be my pedanticness though lol

This is actually the hardest and the weirdest way to make these dolls. On other videos, many artists actually start with the base: wires, head, THEN add fur, according to size. At the end goes painting.

Dari Khai definitely not the hardest or weirdest way. Everyone finds a technique that’s works for them. I do both ways and the other way wastes a lot more faux fur material.

This is beautiful! Just like all your other work. I really love how it looks. Most wild cats don't really look like they do in the wild, and this one really looks like a snowy cat. Keep up the amazing work! :)

I'm making a couple of these for a class project, it's where we have 6 weeks to find something you've never done before and succeed at making it, and we can make a website for them or a blog, I have been wanting to make one so this is my chance it will be so fun!

nevaeh bowman i dont think they would because it is metal wire so it would take years to break that kind of wire so you woukd be fine and the ears are made thick enough to withstand the small amount of pressure your body would put on it (and yes i know you commented this a year ago, almost 2 years now)

Gazella Ella it seems that she takes pieces of the faux fur and puts them onto the head in layers, each dealing with a certain part of the face

If you slow it down to the lowest possible speed she starts moving at a semi-normal speed; but with how choppy the footage gets and the slowed song still playing in the background, you start to feel like you're being abducted by aliens and the government is coming to quarantine you.

I've been very curious about the markings you put on your dolls; I'm working on an alolan vulpix (a blue and white arctic fox) and I'm struggling with getting permanent markings that don't fade when exposed to water. Usually I wouldn't mind if it wasn't completely water safe but I'm expecting that it might be used for a lot of snowy photoshoots. Is your stuff water safe, or are you using mostly acrylics for things like spots and facial markings?

Fabric dyes are probably your best bet, I've never had anything run but I also don't wet my pieces.

Thank you! I tried a sharpie dye method that I've seen people use on wigs and no luck; I'll see how fabric dyes work in the future!
