Good to know they wanted him well in advance. Speculation was that they were wanting a WR before that run on the position swept so many up, but seems like they were just hoping they'd be in position to take Kincaid when it came close to their pick.

I’m not sure what u mean by “down reach” but moving up to get Sammy Watkins was pretty awful especially cuz we could have just picked Odell Beckham at our original spot… EJ manual we moved down and selected him, also awful and then there was the Aaron Maybin pick

If what you mean by that is getting someone later than they should have been taken I think Shakir will prove to be that. Dude had early 3rd round written all over him and we stole him in the 5th. He may take a while to develop, but he's got it.

Cool…it’s not like Beane inherited a team in cap hell that sucked for 2 decades straight and built a perennial contender from the ground up or anything. After all, there was that one season we didn’t make the playoffs when Allen was a rookie, prob should’ve fired him then 🤔 Maybe you’d prefer to go back to the drought years, cuz If fans chase him outta town I guarantee you other teams would be lining up for the chance to hire him, and then you could go back to guys like Doug Whaley. I have no tolerance for ungrateful fans that don’t even know what they’re talking about ✌️

I don't know of any team or GM who isn't strategic. They spend countless hours evaluating before the draft happens. You put a value on a player far before the draft. I am sure they had a designation for Kincaid and he was high on their board. Most people thought he was a shoe in pick for San Diego.
