No wonder he needs concubines. Reading 100 reports a day is very tiring.

All the things in the video are based on the emperor's voluntary. If he does not want to follow the schedule, he also could do whatever he wants. In chinese history, there are also many emperors who had not attend any public meeting for more than twenty years.

Allen4s what is your supporting documents on your above claim? There is only one Emperor in Ming Dynasty who did not attend the meeting for 20+ years because of the overwhelmingly powerful cabinet. When you say many, who are you referring to??

@@user-qc9un1kq1v Jiajing and his grandson Wanli。Jiajing did not attend meetings for 20 years. Wanli didn’t for almost 30 years. There is also the Zhengde emperor, who did things his own ways. That’s just the Ming dynasty.

This is China: Imperial, glorious with the best fashion and architecture senses. Not a republic run by short-haired ordinary folks with lame Western clothes.

Concubines are from the highest class of nobility descended from people who contributed greatly to society. The tradition is justified so that the succession line may had/has/have many options just in case the next in line is incompetent. #History

The empire is the most powerful but actually is in golden cage/jail, forced work. By confuciasm value and his ancestor honor, he is obliged to work and follow that schedule. He didnt have choice to select empress, mostly this is arranged for him. His job is to bed them and to get son haha
