In the heart of Ghana's vibrant beat, Where ancient paths and future meet, There strides a soul, both young and wise, With Garvey's fire in his eyes. Wode Maya, with a spirit bold, In tales of empowerment, his stories told. Through screens he weaves a unity thread, A digital Garvey, risen from the dead. From Accra's streets to Kingston's heat, To the rhythmic pulse of a Harlem beat, He travels, he learns, he meets, he greets, In every heart, his message completes. "Brothers, sisters, near and far, Our roots run deep, beneath the scar. Let's bind our stories, our hopes, our pain, And like the phoenix, rise again." With every video, a seed is sown, In soils of history, deeply grown. Across the diaspora, a family tree, Rooted in love, strong and free. So here's to Wode Maya, young and wise, With the spirit of Garvey in his modern guise. Spreading a message, pure and profound, In the global village, where we're all bound. Folksy and hip, in his unique way, He's shaping tomorrow with what he does today. A beacon of hope, in a world so wide, With unity and empowerment as his guide.

The RASTAMAN mantra of PEACE AND LOVE will HAVE TO ONE DAY RISE AGAIN, IN JAMAICA, and let the ppl there START TO LOVE EACH OTHER AGAIN FIRST. BEFORE, any love can BLANKET that CONTINENT. Jamaica's INFLUENCE is the BACKBONE for the AFRICAN NATION across the world. IT IS A PITY they do not realize this yet. BUT SOON another Messiah will rise again from that ISLAND, and BLACK PPL WILL AGAIN LEARN AND FIND OUT, how to live in PEACEA AND LOVE with ONE ANOTHER on this earth. I can dream, can't I???

I was born and raised in St Ann, Jamaica, and I've never been to Marcus Garvey's childhood home. Thank you so much for showing the life and work of our First National Hero, Marcus Garvey. Keep up the great work, brother🙏🏾❤️

This video is one of the most inspiring videos you have posted! The Garvey Historian, Mr. Golding, is spot on with his take on why African's live and move separately by "tribes"; and what we can do as a collective to insure Africa as a Global Power. Truly Inspiring! Wode Maya, thank you for doing this work! The fact that you are so positive, intelligent, humble, approachable, recognizable and beautifully spirited, you are continuing Garvey's work. THANK YOU!!!! The diaspora needs to see you, to see what was taken away from us, and to work towards re-tacking our original selves back.

For a national hero and a leader of the global black world, I’m horrified by the appalling condition of Garvey’s child hood home. How could the Jamaican government allow this to happen? This could be a great tourist attraction.

I felt sick to see the condition that Garvey’s birthplace has been allowed to become. The PNP MP, Lisa Hanna, is in charge of the parish where that house is located. I’m highly surprised that she never sought to at least get the structure preserved from becoming decayed. I guess only the Jamaican icons who promote music and ganja smoking are considered worthy.

Im an avid believer of mantles and that mantles are passed from one person to another until God's purpose is established. Wodemaya, you have been passed the mantle of Marcus Garvey. You along with Prof and all the orhers that live and breathe Pan-Africanism have been given mantles. Walk strong and tall. The naysayers will appear like Sanballat and Tobias BUT build. Lay your bricks until your time comes to pass the mantle. Much love. Glad to be alive and here to witness your journey.
