So what you have connected all dots? It’s embarrassing to learn basic things about africa you had to make a public funded trip with your entourage to Caribbeans. For example you learned that many African slaves moved to Liberia after slavery ended. This is something i learned on western media (history channel) in late 90s. You need to start watching western media to educate yourself.

As a Haitian, I’m proud of how our Jamaican brothers and sisters have always managed to keep a proud African legacy alive… through their own struggle they still have maintained safe spaces for all people to come and enjoy the beauty of their island… I have no greater wish than for Haiti to follow their example and for Wode Maya to get the same opportunity to visit the glorious people of Haiti… I know at the very least, the city of Cap Haïtien would welcome you with open arms… One Love Jamaica

Jamaica is truly a beautiful place!!! I visited Jamaica twice and l still remembered the beautiful beaches. The people there are so beautiful and nice with such a warm hospitality. The food and music are great. We visited the local natives of Jamaica as well as the beautiful scenery areas of Jamaica. I learned a lot of the language and the history of Jamaica. A lot of people think of Jamaica of a hustling town. We visted the downtown Kingston of Jamaica and the other beautiful sights of Jamaica. Jamaica does holds it's rich treasures. The country sights are just breath taking. The water fall and Dunn river are a beautiful. And blue Mountain of Jamaica is awesome!!! And Montega Bay is just beautiful and the beautiful sunsets and music will warm your heart.✨️ The beautiful landscape and white sand beautiful beaches. I will always hold Jamaica in my heart. May God bless Jamaica, One Love always to Jamaica 🇯🇲 ❤😊

I AM MAYA, THE JAMAICAN GOVERNMENT SHOULD DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE THAT SITUATION ON THEIR BEACHES. THE BEACHES SHOULD BE PUBLIC FOR ALL TO ENJOY WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT TRESPASSING ISSUES. IF THE BEACH-FRONT PROPERTY OWNERS WANT THEY CAN BUILD FENCES AROUND THEIR PROPERTIES… I BET MOST OF THOSE BEACH-FRONT PROPERTIES AREN’T OWNED BY JAMAICANS. I HAVE SEEN THIS PLAY OUT IN SEVERAL CARRIBBEAN ISLANDS WHERE FOREIGNERS COME IN AND BUY A BEACH-FRONT PROPERTY AND START FIGHTING TO OWN THAT PORTION OF THE BEACH. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾FOR THE ISLANDS THAT MAKE IT CLEAR THAT EVERY INCH OF ALL THEIR BEACHES ARE FOR THE PUBLIC. GOOD JOB MY BROTHER👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 1 ❤

This is an addendum to my previous comments. It was a good thing that you worked with the Jamaican lady who narrated the introduction of Jamaica, and she, did a great job on the introduction. The Jamaican tourists authority should see uptick on numbers of tourists that Wode Maya's videos reinforced their mind to come to Jamaica to visit. Your video singled handedly dispelled the negative image that had been carried on the so-called international News Media. I hope that the Jamaican Tourists take notice of the incredible publicity Maya Wode's channel is given to Jamaica.

Years ago, I was on cruise stop in Falmouth Jamaica. I read somewhere something like, “the cruise line will not be responsible for your safety outside of the gated cruise terminal or if you go off on your own (outside of cruise ship’s organized tours).” Anyway, not wanting to pay the comparatively high cost of organized tours, and also, not one for organized tours (period), I ventured out on my own. The cruise terminal opens out into a busy commercial area-small shops, entrepreneurs on foot, lots of locals, and tourists. looking man in his 20s. “I have $13,” I said, “would that be enough to take me to a nearby beach, wait for me for maybe 20 mins, then bring me back here?” He thought for a bit, then said, “sure.” I hopped in. He stopped at a house -outside the house, half dozen or so men milling about. My driver got out, approached one of the men, took something out of his pocket, and pocketed something back. “Weed,” I thought. We proceeded to a somewhat deserted highway. “Hmmm,” I said to myself. “Maybe not one of my best ideas.” Not too long after, the vista opened up. Azure sea. Wide expanse of white beach. Heaven. We stopped. A tiny shack of a store, with 3 local women outside. “Hi,” I said. No answer. Took off my outer wear, hung it on a tree branch, then waded into the water. Swam a bit. Pure bliss. As I got back to retrieve my outer clothes, an old man sauntered over. We had a pleasant chat, as friendly strangers sometimes do. Multiplied the already wonderful experience by two. Got back on the taxi, into the port, paid my $13, thanked the driver, and re-entered the security of the gated port terminal. At the ship, before we sailed, there was a slight commotion. Some local policemen came on board and got two passengers off the ship for buying weed (above the legal limit) onshore. Anyway, I’ve been to Jamaica a few times, but that’s my best Jamaican experience. It beats a watery trip down Dunn’s River Falls in Ocho Rios anytime.
