@@TDRN1 and where was that implied? Only children have to put words in peoples mouths to make a point. In fact if you read the comments a lot of respect is given to her father for raising a strong responsible mature young woman. That's the key right there. People like me believe that anyone who can show they are decent, responsible, and disciplined should be allowed to keep and bear arms if they so choose. Ignorant hateful fools like yourself should NOT own guns.

Great job, Mr. Francis! You are setting your daughter up for success. Proud to have you both as fellow Americans. Dad taught us all how to hunt and fish and we are, to this day, thankful. It bonded us to our parents. It made us closer, as a family. Not be cause it was hunting and fishing (although nothing is a cool or fun at a young age), but because it was a family activity. Family activities are a great thing. Even once a week. Even a silly board game can make the difference in a kids life. Katie, keep up the excellent work, be safe and keep a clear sight picture.

This is what our children should Inspire to be. The knowledge that she has, the respective Shea shows, the push to learn not only in school, but it's safety with a firearm. She is not a feminist, but a beautiful young lady. This is what our children need today. The world is cruel, to defend yourself is very important. To educate yourself is a must. Children should be taught guns and gun safety even if they will never normally use one or own one. My dad got me a bb gun at age 4 and taught me right from wrong. I never had to have it taken away from me. Had a .410 shotgun at 9 and a 22 at 10 . Ive never hurt a sole not even myself thanks to gun education and respect of firearms and people. People who dont teach their children anything and simply blame others for all their bad will suffer a terrible crisis sometime in their lives .

I'm gonna disagree with you. There's always room for some sort of compromise in any disagreement or altercation. It's when the compromise is all one sided where the problems lie.

Well, actually Jonathan, they were wrong...not dumb...there is a difference. Also, you're right, there are folks out there that accept those who own firearms thinking it's a dumb thing to do. However, there are just as many, if not more, that don't accept any civilian citizens owning firearms at all ("only the Police and Military need firearms"). The "no compromise" thought process comes from the fact that gun owners feel as though they've made compromises in the past and not only have received nothing in return (a compromise is just that, you get something and I get something and while we aren't 100% happy with the results, we're ok with it as it stands) there have been more times after that that gun owners are asked to "compromise". The reality is that gun owners are not asked to compromise. They are asked, or told, to give up rights they had before so that other people will feel more comfortable around them.

Good For You!!! I am proud to see a young lady who is doing her thing. Especially when it also can help you protect yourself.

Just came across your video and can only say with a lump in my throat that you and people like you are our hope. I'm in my 70's and figure maybe I can still help but your the future. A smart mature capable young lady. Brought up by a proper family with the old fashion values. Great job and I figure you now are 20 years old. God you and your generation have your work cut out for you but I feel you can and will do it. Thanks
