i think it must be one of the most amazing things you’d ever see - if you are lucky enough to to see a manta live. Just amazing. Manta rays are giant ocean wanderers, weighing up to two tons. With the largest brain-to-body size of any living fish, these mesmerizingly graceful creatures are very smart. Is there any doubt as to whether all people who "trust" nature [and 'who don't trust chemicals'"] are also the people who have decided not to trust Progress Itself? Is there any doubt as to whether "nature" [or adopting a "natural lifestyle"] means anything more than simply to consider giving up on continuing to react to new events within/during whatever life[style] you have? Is there any doubt as to whether progress is the only thing which can actually be trusted, and everything else is quite self-destructive?

It makes me so sad when I see or learn how so many animals are recognized as threatened or endngered by so much of the world yet there are countries that not just don't care but also go and use just bits of what they kill. These creatures are so beautiful.

The current global economic and political regime forces certain countries to overexploit their natural resources just to survive. Dismantle the regime and you dismantle the harm to our animal siblings. Instead the regime pushes you the narrative that more of it is needed in order to protect us all. Think critically, educate yourself on enslavement in it's many forms and you too will reach this conclusion.

Swam with a couple these amazing creatures in Indonesia three weeks ago. I was in tears and in awe of these curious, gentle and beautiful animals. I hope we can all share the importance of keeping them safe in this world!

What is really intriguing is the Manta Rays ability to recognize people and the way they pick and choose who they interact and trust. It's really criminal the way some people treat them as food or use in medicine. It's the same for the whales when certain Asian countries mercilessly kill these beautiful creatures.

I've learned so much about manta rays how they live, feed, breed and how that driver's interacting with these creatures. I find them fascinating as well as beautiful and they need to be protected.

I've dived with mantas in Komodo, Nusa Lembongan, Yap, and the Maldives...the evening/night dive with them in the Maldives was the most amazing because my vid light attracted a lot of plankton and the mantas kept coming to me, swimming all around, doing the loops you see in the vid, and even bumping me while I was filming just to get their food. Experiences I will never forget ;)

They have been my favourite animal since I was a kid and saw the ray in finding Nemo, I have always found them beautiful, majestic and marvellous creatures. I hope they will be protected we can't loose such beautiful and intelligent creatures.😢❤

Sharks are fairly intelligent and curious as well. They are even able to recognize divers the way the manta has, right before they eat them!!!! Jk lol they can recognize people too, it's freaking crazy to think so many are convinced all sharks are just ocean tigers basically, killing everything. They're not, would love to find the specials on here about sharks lol

protect area and full sized manta ray. impossible to fully protect fluanders and species assimulation evolution. but can be protected as a independent species specified as advanced aquatic and rarity.

Perhaps AI/computers could help with identifying, differentiating manta rays by the pictures of their undersides? Similar to how computers search millions of fingerprint files to identify someone from a set of their fingerprints (instead of laborious searching by human eyeballs)?

Thanks for the doc but when did we agree as people that it's okay to casualy show the dismemberment of animals? And in the same breath we spek of the harms brough about by fishing.... Is there no harm in desensitizing viewers to animal cruelty? The images should be treated as extraordinarily gastly and should come with a warnin of the intense nature of the footage, not just be used as your average b-roll. I bet you if we stoped being so nonchalant about dismembered dead animals, their consumption would become very much more conscious.

'It's June, and winter is just getting started...' *Excuse me?* On my side of the world, winter is December, January and February. Summer is June, July and August. I so agree and though our creator did create many creatures for consumption by other animals as well as us, the very disturbing thing is when like a ray or shark is killed just for a fin or another piece of it, wasting the rest, just like when land animals are killed for their fur or horns for decoration but the rest tossed. That is not what any were created for.
