Which did you prefer, Wyndham or El Conquistador? I'm visiting and bringing family and friends for our 20th anniversary. Great videos btw, and very helpful!

I definitely preferred El Conquistador. It was much quieter and felt like a true vacation away from the madness. Plus the private beach was an incredible bonus! But... some people do enjoy the fun, music, etc. of Wyndham...so it just depends on your vibe. Thanks for watching and commenting!

For lunch and dinner, is it included in the hotel fee? If not, were the prices reasonable? What was the range in prices?

No it was not included. Only breakfast was included. Hotel food is always expensive in my opinion... so yeah haha. For instance 1 day we were at the pool and ordered: 2 orders of pork and tostones, and 2 drinks (maybe 3) and it was 80 something dollars.

I'm not sure... but I'm pretty sure on weekends they might. Because most of the hotels in San Juan have music and local bands playing.

Prices go up and down depending on the time of year... you can check the hotel website or sites like Priceline (where they let you check prices by month and date)

Which would would you say Wyndham or royal sonesta?

I’ve never been to the Royal Sonesta. I will say… if you like to walk around outside the hotel area, then Sonesta it is. Because Isla Verde has lots to see and different restaurants and very short Uber ride to nearby areas. You’re basically stuck at the Wyndham (unless you have a car).
