The wait is almost over for the return of the Premier League but this weekend brings a compelling match-up with Manchester City in the Community Shield.
Inside Training takes us back to London Colney for one more session ahead of our trip to Wembley Stadium. Mikel Arteta and the coaching staff took our squad through resistance training in the gym before hitting the pitches for rondos, ball-work and small-sided games.

Good to see Vieira holding someone back like that, did against Monaco too. Feels like he's slowly getting stronger and developing the mentality to be more willing to get physical, that's probably the most important thing for his success in the Premier League

Lol, you're talking absolute waffle. Against Monaco all he did was cut inside and never beat his man. he did a couple nice touches that's it, he's not good enough.

@@RealistGunner What’s the problem with cutting inside? He is an 8 or a 10, he is not a winger after all. It’s like when you play Foden, DavidSilva or BenardoSilva on the wing. You won’t expect them to do skill moves like Ronaldinho or Neymar. You won’t expect them to use direct pace like walcott or aubameyang. When you have Fabio on the wing, you look for possession control, tiki taka pass, silky touch, through pass, combination play.

100% you’re right, I think the mental aspect of knowing you at least CAN compete with people physically is gonna impact a lot of his decision making for the better next season. I think he fell into the trap of playing too safe and avoiding duels which made people feel like he wasn’t ready yet but we all know the skill is there. Next season shall be the for us to judge the fruits of his works

@@RealistGunner you're not good enough as a football or Arsenal fan. He's not Saka, his role isn't to beat his man but to link up and create. But it doesn't matter what he does now or if he continues to improve or not, you've made your mind up about him and there's no amount of improvement he could make that would satisfy you.
