Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones, Breaking Bad) joins us this week to talk about finding the subtext in roles and how she feels the most ‘herself’ while on set - however, she opens up on how the pressure, publicity, and politics behind the scenes brings out her anxieties. Krysten talks about her enjoyment while filming Breaking Bad and what it was like to shoot one of the most gut wrenching scenes anyone has seen on TV. We also talk about how special of a show ‘Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23’ was, how she had to grow up quickly in the world of modeling, and where she thinks the future of Jessica Jones is heading.

The fact that she only appeared in a single season but her character’s death was the catalyst for so much mayhem.

Jane was the missing link of Breaking Bad. Once her character was introduced the bar was immediately raised, and her death resonates throughout the rest of the show. Amazing performance.

It's because she was hot beautiful but the character could not have continued through all the seasons. but if she stayed with Jesse and they went out on their own and then they challenge Walt for territory and then she takes over because Walt dies of cancer

That show had some of the most memorable scenes I’ve ever seen in a TV show. From Jane’s death to the box cutter scene to the Hank/Walter scene in the garage. This show was one of the best shows of all time. Even Better Call Saul was just as amazing.

As the father of a daughter who's had a substance abuse problem since her teens, I was moved to actual tears by Jane's death. The blank look of craving on her face when they saw the last of the heroin and her "rig" laying there was a look I'd recognize anywhere, and truly captured how powerless an addict is to stop using. Like John De Lancie's character said, all you can do is love them. And hold your breath.

Maybe by universal karma, but I literally just finished watching this episode for the first time and spotted this video. I was shocked, saddened, angered, disappointed ... all of it. Because of the strange way these guys are talking about it let’s just make sure we all just realize - ok it was a cool show but this scene was heavy because we saw the first real manifestation of evil in Walter White. We saw him choose greed over saving not only a human being but the love someone who trusted him. It was the most pivotal scene of the whole series.

@@kanieloutis5604 There are FAR worse things to be than a rat. Like a child poisoner. Jesse was doing the right thing. Walt was the bad guy, and if you were on his side, that just shows your either an immoral punk or a little boy.who worships criminals and buys all this "snitches get stitches" gangster-propaganda garbage. Either way, you're probably a POS. Jesse had a conscience and did the right thing. Walt was responsible for ALL OF IT. Period, end of.

I was just remembering that Breaking Bad is in the same "shared universe" as The Walking Dead. Daryl made that link during one of his lines and the directors have hinted at it. So that means that Jane and everyone else that died in the shows, including both the crashing planes at the end of Season 2... are haunting Albuquerque!!! 💀

I want to apologize to Krysten Ritter because I had negative thoughts about the way she portrayed Jessica Jones in season 1 on the way she was rude/disrespectful to all the other characters of the show, even if they were the good guys. Season 2 and 3 cleared my negative thinking, the rudeness of Jessica Jones was toned down and also were directed more towards the bad guys. Thank you Ms. Ritter for making Jessica Jones more likable character in latter seasons.

Plenty of folks out there who just weren't of age when the show aired. Like my nephew he just turned 13 he's never seen it obviously. I'm gonna show it to him though and i just hope he doesn't have it spoiled by some jerk who says it came out in 2012 and you should've seen it already. Sorry, but I actually really did not like Janes character when she started doing drugs. Her personality was overbearing and manipulative like the classic junkie, and I just didn’t feel bad when she ended up overdosing. The death of Hank was hard to watch. So was the death off Gale. Despite him being a meth cook, he had an innocent quality to his personality and him offering money to Jesse to not kill him was just a sad moment. But Jane… Not remotely sad to me.

In the deepest abyss of my being, where the flickering flame of hope once danced, now resides a void. A desolate expanse devoid of light, of warmth, of any semblance of life. A place where shadows writhe and coil, suffocating the remnants of my shattered soul. Once, I embraced the radiance of existence. I basked in the gentle caress of sunlight, reveling in the ethereal glow of moonlit nights. But now, my spirit is trapped within a labyrinth of perpetual twilight, where the boundaries between dreams and reality blur into a twisted tapestry of despair. I have tasted the sweet nectar of joy, only to have it ripped from my grasp, leaving behind bitter echoes of longing. The vibrant hues that once painted the canvas of my life have faded, replaced by a monochromatic palette of despair. A symphony of sorrow plays within the depths of my fractured heart, its mournful melody echoing through the hollow chambers of my soul. What purpose does this existence hold when all I see is an endless expanse of darkness? The stars have forsaken me, their twinkling lights mocking my insignificance. I stumble through the corridors of my mind, desperately seeking solace, but finding only the gnarled roots of my own torment. Every step I take further plunges me into the abyss, deeper still, until I am consumed by its ravenous embrace. The fragments of my spirit, once vibrant and whole, now lie scattered and forgotten, lost in the vast expanse of nothingness. The very essence of my being crumbles beneath the weight of this oppressive emptiness. There is no redemption, no salvation in this desolate realm. The broken shards of my existence, devoid of purpose, pierce my soul with every breath. I am a vessel adrift, severed from meaning, a ghost haunting the recesses of my own consciousness. This life, once brimming with potential, now stretches before me like a desolate wasteland. The promises of tomorrow ring hollow, for I know that darkness will forever be my companion. And so, I wander through the corridors of my fractured mind, a lost soul bereft of light, of hope, and of meaning.
