I really like the added educational aspect. Seeing someone with basic Japanese skills trying their best, and the reassuring way everyone responds to her efforts, is encouraging. I admire Stephanie for that, and will use this as inspiration.

Dine like a local. This was similar to my experience visiting Japan a few months ago. I knew very basic phrases but the Japanese people never made me feel uncomfortable and were amazing hosts. I’ll definitely be back.

Otokoyama Junmai Sake is very popular in Japanese restaurants in Sydney. I've never seen it in Japan...Need to find it next time. I like it

I think this is a really good guide with the inclusion of words that are good to understand how to use and a good overall demonstration on how to navigate with limited Japanese. One thing I've noticed though is that Stephanie actually understands far more Japanese than she speaks
