The Best Pepperoni Pizza In NYC | Best In Town | Food Insider

Күн бұрынBest in Town (formerly known as Best of the Best) is BACK for a limited-run season 3. In this episode, Herrine Ro and Erin Kommor search New York City to find the best pepperoni pizza. They visit Prince Street Pizza to try the Spicy Spring, Rubirosa to eat the Tie Dye Roni Pie, and Emily to try two different versions of their pepperoni pizza, The Colony. In the end, they declare which place is the best in town.
Editor’s Note: Insider visited these restaurants in December 2019. The restaurants are all currently closed to dine-in service due to the ongoing pandemic, but have various takeout and delivery options.

Prince street pizza has one of the best pizza crust I have ever had. The only thing I didn’t like was that their pizza sauce was thin and taste like sweet pasta sauce.Oh and thier pepperoni was delicious!

As a Chicagoan I like a thick “pie” so I lean towards the Sicilian style. Prince street was the best slice of pizza I ever had in my entire life. That cup of grease was amazing

Dude its just more sausage. You cant say a pizza is better by saying more. I am from Chicago and I say Little Ceasers is best Michigan Pizza FTW. I have tried Scarrs pizza in NYC, CPK in Cali and Chicagos pizza . Little Ceasers beats them all. Fair price. i Put the toppings of Frozen hot dogs and Olive oil bamm

Just back from a trip to New York and used these channels as a pizza reference point. This was the worst pizza we had. The sauce was so watery that all the toppings just right off. Best pizza we had was L'Industrie in Williamsburg!

The thickness isn’t what causes it to cup up. It’s called old world pepperoni and it has a natural casing which causes the edges to curl and crisp up. Best tasting pepperoni out there.

I agree with your Prince Street choice. It was more classic than the others.The crust is as important as the rest and it looked perfectly burnt which I love. But burnt crust needs to marry with really good sauce and cheese. The “peps” looked overwhelming but I’ll take ur word that everything was balanced. I really like spicy, so fra diavolo sauce is da bomb.

Spicy could be anything honestly. It could be mild, it could be hot, it could be too little or not be spicy at all for someone. Personally, my spice tolerance isn’t that high, I can handle anything just a little above Buffalo sauce without being irritated. It seriously has me wondering what “spicy” is exactly for these girls. ‘The Spicy Spring’ looks deliciously awesome, definitely down to try it.
