Awesome video, it just goes to show how much effort Disney goes to, to hide the equipment during the day

Kind of neat to see, I always thought that a lot of this was done automatically or remotely, I didn't realize how much hands on work actually went into prepping the show.

I had no idea there were moving heads on california screamin itself. thats awesome

13:29 Always gives me chills! The soundtrack is Amazing, really appreciate the show, but I notice that they moved the grid fountains, so now the fountains are out of place Since WOC Celebrate.

For what it's worth, those light barges are now gone. They were installed for the seasonal show World of Color: Season of Light.

Mattzilla Gamer it seems pretty fun, if you know what you're doing and know what you're working with it's usually a very fun experience, especially something like WOC

InsideUniversal I wondered why they weren't automated like all the other light covers. Makes sense.

I would actually wouldn't mind doing all of these technical work and set up! I wanna drive that boat! LOL

Imagine going in after closing every night in the dark and un-doing that! ...only to know it will be opened up again in less than 24 hours.

I think those fixtures in the small structures with the tilted roof may be some of the largest moving head fixtures I have ever seen. What are they?
@DefNotLeo448 Жыл бұрын
Those are Syncrolite SXB 7/3. They have been replaced by VL6000 Beam after the renovation.

They actually have to go around in a boat and raise the poles manually every day? I would have thought there would be some way of getting the projectors and such into show position with motorized doors just by flicking a switch!
@SpiritOfTheSeasons3 жыл бұрын
They must be monitored to ensure they are operating properly for multiple safety reasons
@roahnosh2 жыл бұрын
My thoughts exactly. Everything is automated nowadays and the tech behind the Water of Color show is impressive and yet they're still doing manual work for removing the cover flaps for the light bulbs.

14:04 Programming Mistake with one of the movements of the Movinghead :D
@TitanTankNate4 жыл бұрын
That's less likely a programming mistake, and more likely a slow mechanical shutter, as it happens anytime there's a blackout. I presume those are VL3500s or something similar, and VL large-head movers can be... eccentric.

In regards those all those projectors those rose up from those boxes guess you would call them, why are all of those projectors inside those round casings, I mean what would happen if they werent encased in those, also if correct they do use the Mickey Mouse Ferris wheel as part of the show right, and if they do, do they make everybody get off of it when showtime happens?
@tylerlindsley54694 жыл бұрын
they're moving lights - not projectors - but those "round casings" are waterproof enclosures to keep the fixtures dry.
@ryankiser2944 жыл бұрын
And California Screamin and the ferris wheel is closed for the show as well as all the other attractions that cause a lot if light into Paradise Bay

I hate that they do this in full view of the guests.
@theVOCALOI4 жыл бұрын
well there's no other way to do this. Do you really expect them to do this when it's already dark?
@Cabalex4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I've never noticed it. They're on the side facing away from the guests going through the Midway area, and you'd have to be looking closely in order to spot them. Heck, I didn't even know what those pyramids were for before watching this, as you normally don't see them opened until it's too dark to see across the bay clearly.
