#6 and #2 gets hot on all IO-520s that I know of. It's more of a TCM thing than Bonanza thing. It was the same on both engines for my Baron.

Hello.... great videos, I'm considering 85-90 A36, How much do you fly per year? Do you still recommend the A36?
@BonanzaBart7 жыл бұрын
I fly about 125 hrs/year. I definitely recommend the A36. Only regret I have is I wish I bought her sooner. Where else you get the space of a minivan combined with the performance of a sports car.

The vibration spectrum is picking up you talking that's f****** cool

Unfortunately (or fortunately) I think this is merely an artifact of the FFT computation inside the unit. I would think if the acceleratometer would be so sensitive to peak vibrations generated of my voice, when the engine started the peaks would be off the scale. I could also use the G3 to detect earthquakes in foreign countries ;-). Thank you for watching though!

Can I ask how much you paid for this plane have you took any thought to upgrading the avionics to modern touch screen system?if so you have you figured out how much it would cost I would like to purchase a A36 less then 60k and upgrade to the newest and greatest Avionics and basically make it a little bit more nicer and easy
@BonanzaBart6 жыл бұрын
I do not want to burst your bubble but you won't find an A36 for under 60k unless the plane has a runout engine, worn-out paint, crap avionics, etc. Even A36s that are "projects" go for much more. I know Bonanza Society bough a rough A36 where everything needed to be done over and they spent over 100k for the plane and it needed pretty much everything. As to the question for avionics, no I am not planing to do anything else. All of my gyros, HSI, etc has been overhauled and is pretty much brand-new. With the FS210 capability I really do not need anything else. Stratus 2S is a perfect completely redundant back-up system. I definitely think glass-panel is super nice but won't get me to my destination any faster or safer.

Flight of Passage that makes sense it's just insane the price though I guess I will wait for the next recession to happen when people are just trying to sale them for what ever they can

Nice information. It would be nice to have that detail about my engine but the cost against the price of an older C-172 just doesn't make sense.

I just bought a G2 for a 1966 Piper Cherokee. Best money ever spent besides Avgas. Gotta know the health of your engine.

@@BumbleBee55R about how many hours of labor for the install
@BumbleBee55R2 жыл бұрын
@@FlyingNDriving well, seeing as I installed it with my A&P, the hourly rate was a minimum. But it took us about 12 hours as I did not even have an EGT Guage in my bird.
