I just love the versatility of Royal Ballet dancers, the have such beautiful classical technique but are also stunning performing extremely challenging contemporary works. Both pieces on this livestream are so so interesting and inspiring.

Thank you for allowing us to see these rehearsals. I love Valentino's choreography. All the ladies were fantastic, but I could watch Fumi forever! I find it incredible that the dancers are able to adapt to such different styles so well. Such talent from everyone on the stage.

I’m so impressed by these new pieces, both so different yet equally beautiful and impactful. Thank you RB for continuing to give us access to rehearsal footage. Just one small request, please don’t cut to close ups whilst the dancers are performing, it really hinders our understanding of the flow of each piece. Once again thank you to the wonderfully talented creators, dancers, musicians and behind-the-scenes team. ❤️

Meaghan Grace Hinkis says during the interview that she was second-cast, or something like that. Maybe she replaced Hayward? (Around 36:50)

Would love to be in the audience if these type of rehearsals could or are to become a thing. Does anyone know if you have to be a member of some description or how to go about being part of the audience? Would much appreciate if care to share 😊

They are a thing, but generally, you have to be a Friend of the RB to get a ticket, meaning that you pay an annual subscription to support the company.

In theory anybody can buy a ticket to these kind of events. In reality what happens is that the people who pay a premium to be a friend (at least PREMIUM 1 FRIEND £1350 per year) of the opera house get an early chance to buy tickets. Which means they are nearly always sold out when they go on sale to the general public. What you can do though is check the opera house website several times a day to see if tickets have become available ( returned tickets or sometimes they hold tickets back then put them up for sale at a later date) If you are lucky you might get yourself a ticket. I have managed to see a few rehearsals and a morning class by doing this.
