That’s because a lot of people are very ignorant and uneducated and think that metal is just screaming and angry. When so many types are the complete opposite. You are right it is very sad but so many people are missing out on such wonderful music.
@Root277 Жыл бұрын
I was a senior in high school when this song was released, and I absolutely loved it. But it wasn't until my mid 20's when i fully understood what this song meant. As a kid I grew up with parents who treated me like dirt. I had friends who were never there for me. I'd count down the days until I could leave, and start my own life. And now as an adult I can't help but to look back; all those emotions, feelings, and pain come rushing back as if they never left. I can't help but thinking if things could've been different. This song is therapeutic and reminds me not to dwell on the past, but to live in the moment. And I'm currently the happiest I've ever been. I'm married to the woman of my dreams, I'll be a homeowner in a few months, and when the time is right we'll be starting a family of our own

Yeah I understand that, it can energize me sometimes, keep me going sometimes, and it has really helped me stay strong through some crazy difficult times. It also is just the music I want sometimes. I am amazed at how I have sensitive ears but still like metal, I would bring musician/concert earplugs which reduce noise volume while keeping sound very similar. There are so many different types of metal even now and I like lots of metal. I do like many genres though.

Why can't we just stop and talk with one another with love, compassion and faith randomly in public anymore? Why are we afraid of each other? It's crazy how most people think all metal is too aggressive and people who worship the devil. Yet music nowadays talk about the devil, sex violence on the radio.

Metal genre are for people who are destined for it, who has deeper sense of taste in everything. Its a feeling to feel, no one can make the other person understand the beauty of it, if he/she hasn't been destined to.

Lyrics: When your heart gives out and your love collapses When the hand that never lets go is there no more When you reap and sow only throe and resentment When there's no one else but you to blame it for When all you ever wish for is to go back once more When all you ever wish for is to change it all When all you feel is remorse, pain and regret When you dwell in the past unable to move on And we drift far away in our dreams Gather further distance while we sleep Build a wall of glass thick and deep We hear but choose not to listen And we drift far away in our dreams Gather further distance while we sleep Still the bridge is inflamed with fire Leave all the love we had behind When you realize that your life is a one-way road When you realize that there's no point of return When you understand that you can't go back anymore When you understand you can only move onwards And we drift far away in our dreams Gather further distance while we sleep Build a wall of glass thick and deep We hear but choose not to listen And we drift far away in our dreams Gather further distance while we sleep Still the bridge is enflamed with fire Leave all the love we had behind Slow down We need to slow down We need to slow down so I can catch you We need to slow down so I can catch you We need to slow down so you can catch me We need to slow down so I can catch you We need to slow down so you can catch me Slow down

The reality is that the instrumental is rather simple. The band is full of incredible musicians and artists which is where the phenomenal music comes from. The band has turned death metal into an art with their creative minds in the writing process to make the music so powerful, the beautiful poetry used as lyrics is simply bonus.

One and a half million views does not even begin to compare to other hugely popular but monotonous pop songs. That is not fair, I blame the teens with too much free time on their hands :D
@CamelsHighOnCrayons8 жыл бұрын
+soupflood A teen with too much free time on their hands here. It saddens me that the vast majority of people in my age group would rather listen to the extremely dumbed-down lyrically, and almost cringy relationship orientated, pop singers, which only gained their immense popularity through their decent looks, lacking both talent and personality, I'm looking at you, Kayne. Well, now that I have exposed everything I dislike about modern-pop music, I think get back to listening to Insomnium.
@UbuntuAllTheWay8 жыл бұрын
+MLG Pengu Yeah, but to be honest when you watch some singing contests on TV you quickly realize that the pop stars are stars for a reason. Many of the modern hit songs sound easy, but when you try to sing them yourself it just doesn't work at all. It's a myth that pop stars cannot sing. They can. At least most of them.
@soupflood8 жыл бұрын
