I’m soo encouraged! I’ll be 60 next year and really just said love and abundance will never happen for me--i never knew how to fight for my husband bc divorce is a curse in our family 🥺I got divorced and he never wanted the divorce but I was trying to save my son and grandson😢😢😢😢I lost all of them. But God told me He would restore me so I joined the path to just trust God even when I couldn’t trace Him then my husband called me to tell me the hard news that he had cancer--I stopped everything to take care of him until he took his last breath. Actually today he would have been 60😢 and still I have nothing but God! I entertain moving to another state bc I feel so defeated. I love teens and want to work with high school young ladies but I don’t have enough income to meet this high cost of living so I just talk to a few ladies at a time. I feel defeated and cry alone. Lord you are good and I’ll never stop trusting and serving you. Better is yet to come! Thank you for this platform and this couple of what it takes to stay married and honor God.

Thanks for sharing this conversation, i appreciate the transparency. What happened for me was: I was a single Christian man until my mid-thirties, i was the organist at my home church, people would constantly ask me, "Bobby are you alright" as though being a single Christian man was strange! It was worth the wait, my wife and i got married in 1990 and we are still loving growing together. It was worth the wait!!

I love how she said, when he went to pick up his daughter from a previous relationship, she wanted to also pick up the other child (his bonus child) that wasn't biologically his. It's that for me. I love her for that. That's Queening on another level. We need more women like that ❤

I absolutely adored this couple and how they helped each other through dark places. Such a blessing. The honesty and integrity touched my heart. Accepting both of each other's children, and bonus son, was really precious. Praying for you all. By the way, the name of the movie with Phylicia Rashad is "For Colored Girls." Blessings to you all!

This was beautiful lol. I was in tears when they started getting emotional, especially him. When they were talking about coming out of dark spaces! I am raising to young men 10 and I7 and I encourage them to be open about what is going on in their mental space and to communicate those things. I pray they are good men to good husbands to great fathers. This was encouraging 😊 also #blacklove. I am 41 and single and I am not going to lie, the fact that I’m single gets discouraging because I’m like, it’s easier to do it when you are young. God knows the plan. I put it in his hands.

This lovely couple just confirms that when God is in it and two people are genuinely committed, it will work. They are both ride or dies for one another. And i love how they count their daughter's brother as part of their kids. Thats love. May God continue to bless and keep them. All the best in the production company. It will come to pass.

I have watched many-a-podcasts; I am crying and laughing at the same time, these folks are beautiful and very forthcoming and relatable; they're just being themselves ...I'm just blown away, BLOWN AWAY. This may be my favorite couple thus far. God continue to bless them and their family, let no weapon formed; 🥹😭🤣😊❤️

One of the best ones yet! I love their story and testimony of God’s goodness of when you wait/weight how He will give you just what you need in life. You all have unpacked so much and hit home with me a few times. I’m sure I will watch this one again. Wow just Wowww ❤

Finally!!! I was able to get the time to finish this episode! i'm so grateful that I was able to discover Dear Future Wifey a year or so ago! It's still grabbing my attention & dropping gems! BTW, I have learned over the years that You Can't Fake Your Struggles. NO matter who you are or from what walk of life you come from. It only takes a conversation and an acknowledgement of an experience. But back to what I was saying, I am so grateful for this podcast, etc! I love this couple & their story/journey. . My emotional moment or God moment came around 1:13-1:20 into the segment. It's always good to hear relatable messages that resonates with your inner Spirit. God's timing is not our timing. HIs thoughts are not our thoughts and HIs ways are not our ways. God knows best & He loves us enough to give us just that...His best! Selah! Thx DFW! Keep up the great work that you are doing! Keep ministering to the masses. 🙏🙏🙏

They are so wise and clear about marriage, family and supporting each other. I love when she said she learned that she can't critique him on what he is doing, because he is doing it. This entire episode is powerful and beautiful.

This has spoken so much to me! So many blessings key points! How to be kind, patient, communicate. We all have flaws, appreciate those around you! Miscarriages and other misfortunes, don't brush them away. That was traumatic and happened. It IS okay to be in your feelings sometimes and actually feel and process what has occurred. Life carries challenges and also joy. So forgive, be you and love. ❤❤❤❤

I listened and watched this episode and really enjoyed the transparency of this husband and wife team. I am subscribed and don’t watch every episode. Please know I gain wisdom from each one I watch. Thank you for having a vision years ago for the Podcast.

This couple was real. And they were very transparent. I loved that about them. How he fought for her. And how he came did her was everything. Also the comment that Laterras made abt creating a the level of atmosphere where you are completely honest and transparent abt each others past. It’s maturity. 💯

They both learned how to carry eachother when the other needed it. I wonder if they had an example of this growing up. I cried too every time I see people do this. And I love the intention of recommitting yourselves often

This episode was something special because it discussed another side of marriage that you do not really hear about. It discussed the things that couples are afraid to open up to each other about because of the fear of rejection from each other. Thank you Dother and Chanell for sharing your story with us. This shows that Love can survive in a marriage ❤ the kind of Love that is just that, LOVE. As always Laterras, Thank You and Have a Blessed Day.
