Which camera would you recommend for photography and action?

if your'e going to be going into the water often and doing mostly action i would get the X4 or Ace pro. Between the X4 and the Ace Pro i would probably go with the X4 as it's a 360 camera, it captures everything! For photography they're both okay, your smartphone will probably capture better photos especially in low light.

Is there way for a better mic on go 3?

the GO 3 with no action pod has no ports so it can not support any mic adapters. The GO 3 inside of the action pod has a USB C port but i have not seen any mic adapters on their website. What you can do is get a wireless mic with onboard recording. then in a video editing software you'll sync the audio. that's what i have done.

got it. different market. well if it's cheaper i would go with the Ace Pro. much better image quality than GO 3. GO 3 if you need that small form factor to get super cool shots.
