Ben, you're an incredible 360º imagery ambassador! I've finally (today, minutes ago) bought the Insta360 X3 (pretty sure I did it through one of your links) and can't wait to start getting better footage and putting some of your awesome tips to use on the new cam (I have a One X now). I'd love to get into 360º property imagery and this seems to be a great balance between my budget and the quality I'll need, so thanks for all your input.

Thanks for this, very helpful. Using the app manually can drive me nuts. I’ll put in key frames but it jumps or rotates the opposite way for no reason!

This tutorial is so solid. Thank you so much! I was just looking for how to edit jump cuts but now I know how to use all the app's editing features. To answer your question: I'm using my insta360 to shoot myself as a mermaid underwater and as a stiltwalking butterfly queen on land. I was using a GoPro but found myself constantly frustrated with the limited field of view and how I'd mis-frame the shot being that I was also the subject. Hopefully now I can capture what I'm hoping to! Thanks again!

As a not terribly creative sort, I always dread the thought of videoing then editing experiences. This gives me so much more confidence knowing I can just video as I go and change perspective later. Then let the 360 app do a lot of the horsepower for me. Thanks!!

Thanks Ben! I like this tutorial video as I am -planning to use my Insta OneX camera for the upcoming vacation trip to Vancouver+Toronto. I bought this camera for a while but still doesn’t know how to edit the video clips and photos!! Now it’s time for me to practice and get ready before our trip in early July.

It is quite good for a quick social media post but having spent some time figuring out Karta VR in resolve I like that a lot better for videos I like to keep. Unlimited control over easing in and out gives so much more control. Furthers it also gives the option to straighten distorted straight objects that appear bent. (At the expense of some sharpness in the corners)

Great video! Quick question, is downloading and exporting from the phone results into a poorer final quality than from the studio on laptop? Does it make a significant difference?

Super helpful video for sure! I’m running into a 5-min limit when keyframing using phone movement. I’m using an iPhone 13 Pro. Is there something causing the 5 min stop while keyframing using phone movement? I downloaded the file to my phone as I was thinking that could be causing the issue, but no joy.

Hi Ben, X3 in the post so have started learning how to edit while waiting -this was just what I needed thx! (One Q. if I may: I see the X3 has a 'me mode' -I expect that is the camera doing some (AI?) auto-keyframing, is this just a time-saving feature for vloggers so they don't have to keyframe in post? Can you think of any other 'use cases' for the me-mode?? Thx.)

Awesome content Ben, and that is a term I do NOT usually use 😮 One question; The edit is separate to the raw footage and so is it possible to save an edit and then create another for the same raw footage? You might want to use different frames and views for different purposes, all from the same capture. Thanks 😊

Love your tutorial. Helped me understand the editing process in simple terms. However, I do have a question regarding the "speed" function." I want a portion of my video to be faster than in other parts. If I increase the speed in the middle of video, the entire video is impacted and I don't want that. what am i doing wrong? G'day, Ben. Thanks for the tutorial, it's super easy to follow - really helpful. Personally, I would love to be able to copy/paste a keyframe; I wonder if I'm the only one who feels this way. I'd love to see it in a later iteration of the app. Additionally, having an option to set and "ease-in" and "ease-out" for keyframes would be just dandy also. I find that they "snap" a little too much for my liking - consequently, I have to add a more keyframes for smoothness. Oh well. I wonder what your thoughts are on this.

good video man. I'm thinking about getting the 360 x3. I make kayak fishing videos. I'm getting tired of moving the camera. it would be soo much easier to place the camera in front of me. then I can reframe it like me setting the hook. and then the fish jumping out of the water. best tutorial I've seen on this subject too far!

Ben, this tutorial is sooo helpful! A couple of questions tho - total newbie here, waiting for my x3 to arrive for a trip to the Birdsville Track & beyond. 1 - Do I need internet to transfer & use the editing app, because, well you can see my problem 😉! Website says it’s only compatible with android for wired connection, & the quick reader isn’t compatible with my iPad Air. 2 - Can I use a regular card reader to download? And 3 - daft one, but when you press export, where are you exporting it to? 😂, I’m so old!! If you can help, thanks!
